Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Paver Cleaning Services Long Island North Shore
Centre Island is surrounded by open water Cold Spring Harbor to the west, Oyster Bay Harbor to the east, Long Island Sound to the north. That’s not a scenic detail; it’s a maintenance reality. Airborne salt chlorides work on paver surfaces year-round at concentrations most Nassau County properties never see. Left unchecked, that salt air accelerates surface breakdown, promotes efflorescence, and attacks the bond between sealer and stone.
After professional cleaning and sealing, your pavers stop absorbing that moisture. Weeds stop finding their way through the joints. The discoloration that’s been building up season after season algae, organic staining from mature trees, the dull gray film it’s gone.
What’s left looks like the day your hardscaping was first installed. For a Centre Island property, that matters more than most places. When your driveway, pool surround, or waterfront terrace is part of an estate that’s been carefully maintained, one neglected surface stands out. Clean, sealed pavers don’t just look better they hold up longer, protect the investment underneath them, and reflect the standard the rest of your property already sets.

Experienced Paver Cleaning Company Nassau County
We’re a family-owned company based in West Babylon, fully licensed and insured, and serving Nassau and Suffolk counties with nearly 50 years of combined team experience. That’s not a number pulled from a marketing sheet it means we’ve seen every paver material, every damage pattern, and every coastal condition Long Island can throw at a hardscape surface.
Centre Island’s environment is specific. The salt air coming off the Sound, the freeze-thaw cycling that Nassau County sees 30 to 40 times a winter, the organic debris from the island’s mature tree canopy these aren’t generic weather challenges. We’ve been working in exactly these conditions across the North Shore for years, using commercial-grade hot water systems and material-specific techniques that hold up here.
When you authorize a contractor to come through the village entrance, you’re making a trust decision. We’re fully licensed, insured in compliance with New York’s construction regulations, and staffed by named technicians who take personal accountability for every job. That combination of credentials and character is exactly what Centre Island expects.
Professional Paver Restoration Process Long Island
The first thing we do is an honest assessment of your pavers what material you have, what damage has occurred, and what the right approach looks like for your specific surfaces. Centre Island properties often feature premium materials like bluestone, travertine, limestone, or high-end concrete pavers from manufacturers like Cambridge or Nicolock. Each one requires different cleaning chemistry and a different sealer type.
From there, the process moves through pre-treatment, efflorescence neutralization, and deep cleaning using commercial-grade hot water equipment not consumer pressure washers that can etch or streak premium stone. Any joint sand that’s been eroded or washed out gets replaced with polymeric sand, which hardens when activated and resists the weed infiltration and erosion that regular sand can’t hold up against in a coastal environment. Shifted or uneven pavers get leveled before anything else happens.
Once the surface is fully clean and dry, the right sealer goes down. On a peninsula surrounded by open water, sealer selection matters the product needs to bond correctly to your specific material and hold up against the salt air and moisture that Centre Island sees year-round. When it’s done, we clean up completely. No runoff left behind, no mess in the surrounding landscaping, and no disruption to the mature plantings that took years to establish.
Brick Paver Cleaning and Sealing Centre Island, NY
We handle the full range of hardscape surfaces concrete pavers, brick pavers, and natural stone including bluestone, travertine, marble, limestone, and granite. For Centre Island estates, that natural stone expertise matters. A contractor who applies the same pressure and the same product to travertine as they would to a standard concrete driveway can cause damage that’s expensive to undo. Material-specific treatment is the baseline, not a premium option.
Our services include paver cleaning, paver sealing, paver restoration, paver repair, polymeric sand installation, and efflorescence treatment. If your pavers have shifted, cracked, or settled unevenly, those structural issues get addressed as part of the restoration process not as a separate conversation. And if you’ve been told replacement is the only answer, it’s worth getting a second opinion. When the foundation is still sound, restoration almost always makes more sense than tearing everything out and starting over.
Centre Island’s village code prohibits water runoff from landscaping and construction work from entering neighboring property or surrounding waters a meaningful consideration given the island’s coastal location. We use professional equipment and responsible water management practices that align with those standards. That’s the kind of operational detail that separates a licensed professional from someone who shows up with a consumer pressure washer and no awareness of local requirements.
How does salt air from Long Island Sound affect my Centre Island pavers?
Salt air is one of the most consistent and underestimated threats to paver surfaces on Centre Island. Because the peninsula is bordered by open water on three sides, airborne chlorides are present year-round not just after a storm or during high wind. Over time, that salt works into the pores of unsealed pavers, accelerating surface breakdown, promoting efflorescence, and degrading any existing sealer coating from the outside in.
The practical result is that pavers on Centre Island tend to show wear faster than comparable surfaces in inland Nassau County communities. Efflorescence those white mineral deposits that appear on the surface is more common and more persistent in salt-air environments. That’s why professional cleaning needs to include a proper efflorescence treatment and neutralization step before any sealer goes down. If you seal over active efflorescence, you lock it in permanently. Getting the sequence right is what separates a result that lasts from one that starts peeling within a season.
How often should I have my pavers professionally cleaned and sealed?
For most Long Island properties, the general recommendation is professional cleaning every one to two years and resealing every two to three years. On Centre Island, the combination of salt air exposure, the island’s mature tree canopy dropping organic debris, and Nassau County’s 30 to 40 freeze-thaw cycles per winter means that staying on the shorter end of that range makes sense for most properties.
The clearest sign that it’s time for resealing is the water test pour a small amount of water on your pavers and watch what happens. If it soaks in rather than beading up, the sealer has broken down and your pavers are absorbing moisture. That moisture expands and contracts during freeze-thaw events, causing micro-fractures that eventually become visible cracks. Catching it before that happens is far less expensive than addressing the structural damage afterward.
Can old or heavily stained pavers actually be restored, or do they need to be replaced?
In most cases, restoration is entirely possible and it’s almost always the better financial decision when the foundation underneath is still structurally sound. Staining, discoloration, efflorescence, weed growth, and even significant fading are surface and joint issues, not foundation failures. A proper cleaning, efflorescence treatment, polymeric sand installation, and sealing can take pavers that look like they’ve been neglected for years and bring them back to something close to their original condition.
On a Centre Island estate, there’s another reason to consider restoration carefully established hardscaping has character that a new installation takes years to develop. The settled joints, the way the material has weathered and taken on the surrounding landscape, the mature look of a long-installed driveway or terrace that’s worth preserving if the structure allows it. We’ll give you an honest assessment of whether restoration is the right call or whether replacement genuinely makes more sense for your specific situation.
What is polymeric sand and why does it matter for paver joints on my property?
Polymeric sand is a joint filler that contains binding agents. When activated with water, those agents harden and lock the sand in place. Regular sand washes out after a few heavy rains, which leaves joints open to weed seeds, ant tunneling, and erosion. Professionally applied polymeric sand can hold up for up to 10 years before it needs to be replaced, versus regular sand that may need attention after every significant storm.
For Centre Island properties, this matters for several reasons. The island’s coastal location means rain events and wind-driven moisture are more frequent and more intense than in inland communities. Open joints also allow the salt-laden moisture that’s constantly present near the water to penetrate deeper into the paver base, accelerating the freeze-thaw damage cycle. Locking those joints with polymeric sand is one of the most effective things you can do to extend the life of your hardscaping it’s not an optional add-on, it’s a core part of a proper restoration.
Is paver sealing just cosmetic, or does it actually protect the surface?
Sealing is structural protection, not just a cosmetic finish. An unsealed paver is porous it absorbs moisture, oil, algae spores, and anything else that lands on it. In a coastal environment like Centre Island, that porousness means salt-laden moisture is working its way into the material every time conditions change. When temperatures drop below freezing, that moisture expands. Over 30 to 40 freeze-thaw cycles in a single winter, those repeated expansions create micro-fractures that eventually become visible cracks and structural failure.
A quality sealer closes that porosity. It also inhibits algae and mold growth, which is accelerated by the humidity and shade conditions that come with Centre Island’s mature tree canopy and waterfront environment. It locks polymeric sand in place, prevents oil and organic stains from penetrating, and dramatically extends the lifespan of the surface. Unsealed pavers in Long Island conditions typically need replacement in seven to ten years. Properly sealed and maintained pavers can last twenty-five years or more. That’s a significant financial consideration at the scale of a Centre Island estate’s hardscaping.
Do I need to be home when Paver Savers comes to work on my property?
You don’t need to be present for the work itself, but because Centre Island is a private village with its own police department at the entrance, you’ll need to authorize access for the crew before they arrive. That’s a straightforward step most residents handle it with a quick call or message to the village police station ahead of the scheduled date. We’ll communicate clearly about the timing so you can make that arrangement without any last-minute scrambling.
Beyond the access logistics, the team works independently once on-site. We move outdoor furniture as needed, manage the work area carefully to avoid damage to surrounding plantings, and clean up completely before leaving. The runoff management practices we use are appropriate for properties adjacent to sensitive coastal waters, which aligns with the village’s code requirements around water discharge during landscaping and maintenance work. If you have specific concerns about particular areas of your property mature plantings close to the work zone, a pool area, or a waterfront terrace that’s worth mentioning when you schedule so we can plan accordingly.
