Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Professional Paver Cleaning Suffolk County
When the job is finished, you’re not looking at something that’s been cleaned you’re looking at something that looks like it was just installed. Stains gone. Weeds gone. Color back. Joints tight. That’s the difference between a pressure rinse and a real restoration process.
For Centereach homeowners specifically, this matters more than most people realize. The central Suffolk outwash plain is sandy by nature, which means joint sand washes out faster here than in clay-heavy soils. What looks like a weed problem or a cosmetic issue is often a structural one joints that have lost their fill, pavers that are starting to shift, and a surface that’s one hard winter away from cracking.
A lot of homes in Centereach had paver driveways, patios, and walkways installed during the 1990s and early 2000s renovation wave. That hardscaping is now 20 to 30 years old. It’s not past saving but it does need the right attention. Cleaning, re-sanding with polymeric sand, and sealing can add years to a surface that a contractor might tell you needs to be torn out and replaced. The cost difference between those two outcomes is significant.

Paver Cleaning Company Centereach, NY
We’re a family-owned company based in West Babylon, NY, serving homeowners and businesses across Nassau and Suffolk counties. Our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience to every project which means we’ve worked on every type of paver, every type of damage, and every condition Long Island’s climate can throw at a hardscape surface.
That depth of experience shows up in the details. In Centereach, where homes sit on the central Suffolk outwash plain and many driveways are pushing 25 or 30 years old, you don’t want a company that’s still figuring out what they’re looking at. You want someone who’s seen this exact situation before and knows exactly what it takes to fix it without making it worse.
We’re fully licensed and insured, adhering to New York’s construction regulations. We also offer financing options, which makes it easier to move forward on larger jobs without putting the work off until the damage compounds.
Paver Restoration Process Long Island
Every job starts with an honest assessment of what you’re actually dealing with. Before anything gets cleaned or sealed, we evaluate the surface what type of pavers, what condition the joints are in, whether there’s efflorescence present, and whether any pavers have shifted or settled. That assessment shapes everything that follows.
From there, the cleaning phase uses commercial-grade hot water systems not the kind of pressure washer you rent at a hardware store. Hot water gets into the surface at a level cold water can’t match, breaking down oil stains, algae, mold, and deeply embedded grime without etching or streaking the pavers. This step matters especially for older Centereach surfaces, where years of freeze-thaw cycles and organic growth have worked their way into the material.
Once the surface is clean and fully dry, we evaluate the joints for re-sanding. In most cases, polymeric sand is the right call it hardens when activated, locks the joints, and resists the kind of washout that happens quickly in Centereach’s sandy-soil environment. When professionally applied, it can hold up for years before it needs attention again.
Sealing comes last, applied only after the surface is completely dry, locking in the work and protecting the pavers from whatever the next Long Island winter brings. Spring is the natural window for this work after the freeze-thaw damage shows itself and before summer entertaining begins though fall bookings are common for homeowners who want to go into winter protected.
Brick Paver Cleaning Services Centereach
We work across all paver types concrete, brick, and natural stone, including bluestone, travertine, marble, and limestone. That range matters because not every material responds the same way to cleaning products, sealers, or pressure levels. A sealer that works well on a concrete paver driveway can cause problems on a natural stone patio if the wrong product gets applied. The process is tailored to what you actually have, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our services include professional paver cleaning, polymeric sand installation, efflorescence treatment, paver leveling and repair, and sealing in a range of finishes. For Centereach homeowners dealing with weeds pushing up between joints, pavers that rock underfoot, or surfaces that have gone from a rich color to a washed-out gray, the full process addresses all of it not just the surface layer.
The scope of work is based on what your specific surface needs. We serve residential driveways, patios, walkways, and pool decks, as well as commercial hardscapes across Suffolk County. Whether you’re on a street off Middle Country Road, near the Holbrook Road corridor, or anywhere else in Centereach, our service area covers you. Financing is available for larger projects, so the cost of doing it right doesn’t have to be a reason to wait.
How do I know if my Centereach pavers need cleaning or full replacement?
This is the question worth asking before you call anyone for a replacement quote. In most cases, pavers that look bad stained, faded, weedy, cracked at the joints are not structurally compromised. If the foundation underneath is still solid and the pavers themselves haven’t fractured through, restoration is almost always the right move. It costs a fraction of what replacement runs, and the results are dramatic.
The exception is when the base has failed usually from years of water infiltration in a sandy-soil environment like Centereach, where drainage is fast but structural support is limited. If pavers are rocking significantly, sinking unevenly, or showing widespread cracking through the body of the paver itself, that’s a different conversation. But for most Centereach homeowners dealing with 20 or 25-year-old hardscaping that just looks rough, a professional cleaning, re-sanding, and sealing job is the answer not a demolition crew.
How often should pavers in Centereach, NY be cleaned and resealed?
The general recommendation is to clean pavers every one to two years and reseal every two to three years. In Centereach specifically, the freeze-thaw cycles that run through central Suffolk County every winter put real stress on sealed surfaces over time. Each cycle temperatures swinging above and below freezing, water expanding inside paver pores gradually breaks down the sealer’s protective layer. Waiting too long between sealing cycles means you’re leaving the surface exposed during the seasons when it takes the most damage.
A good way to check whether your pavers need resealing is the water test: pour a small amount of water on the surface. If it beads up and rolls off, the sealer is still doing its job. If it soaks in, the sealer has worn down and the surface is absorbing moisture which means it’s absorbing whatever else comes with it, including freeze-thaw damage, staining, and organic growth. If you’re seeing that, it’s time to schedule the work before the next winter season.
What is polymeric sand and why does it matter for Long Island paver joints?
Polymeric sand is a joint filler that contains binding agents. When it gets wet and then dries, it hardens into a firm, stable material that resists washout, weed growth, and ant tunneling. Regular sand the kind that came with your pavers originally has none of those properties. It washes out after a few heavy rains, leaving open joints that weeds root into and ants excavate.
In Centereach, this matters more than in some other areas because the community sits on the central Suffolk outwash plain. Sandy soils here drain quickly, which means water moves fast through the substrate and takes joint material with it. Homeowners in Centereach often notice weeds and shifting pavers faster than they expect, and the root cause is usually joint sand that’s been gradually washing away for years. When professionally applied, polymeric sand can hold up for a long time before it needs to be refreshed making it one of the highest-value parts of the full restoration process.
Can I just pressure wash my pavers myself instead of hiring a professional?
You can, but the results are usually disappointing and sometimes damaging. Consumer pressure washers lack the heat output of commercial equipment, which means they move surface dirt around but don’t break down oil stains, algae, or deeply embedded grime the way a professional hot water system does. The result looks better for a few weeks and then goes back to looking the same way it did before.
The bigger risk is technique. Too much pressure on older pavers and a lot of Centereach driveways and patios are 20 to 30 years old can etch the surface, create uneven streaking, or blast joint sand out of the gaps entirely. You end up with a surface that’s been cleaned unevenly and is now more vulnerable than it was before. Our process also includes steps that a pressure washer alone can’t replicate: efflorescence treatment, polymeric sand installation, leveling shifted pavers, and applying the right sealer for your specific material type. Those steps are what make the improvement last.
Does paver sealing actually protect against Long Island winters?
Yes and this is one of the more important things to understand if you own a home in central Suffolk County. Long Island’s winter pattern isn’t a sustained deep freeze like upstate New York. Temperatures here swing above and below 32 degrees repeatedly throughout the season, which means water gets into paver pores and joints, freezes, expands, and then thaws over and over again. That cycle is what causes pavers to crack, shift, and heave over time.
Sealing closes those pores. It doesn’t make pavers indestructible, but it dramatically slows the rate at which water infiltrates the surface. Unsealed pavers on Long Island typically start showing serious structural deterioration within 7 to 10 years. Sealed pavers, maintained on a regular cycle, can last 20 to 25 years or more. For a Centereach homeowner with a home valued in the $500,000 to $700,000 range, that’s not a minor difference it’s the difference between a maintenance expense and a replacement project.
Why should I choose Paver Savers over other paver companies serving Centereach?
The straightforward answer is experience. We bring nearly 50 years of combined team experience to every job and that’s not a number any competitor currently serving the Centereach market can match. Our experience means we’ve worked on every paver material, every type of damage, and every condition that central Suffolk County’s climate and soil profile can create. When a technician shows up to your driveway off Middle Country Road or your patio in one of Centereach’s older neighborhoods, they’re not encountering anything they haven’t seen before.
Beyond experience, we’re fully licensed and insured, family-owned, and based right here on Long Island. We work on both residential and commercial properties, which means the precision and process discipline we bring to larger commercial jobs carries over to every residential driveway and patio we touch. Our named technicians show up in customer reviews by name that kind of personal accountability is rare, and it means something when you’re trusting someone with a surface that took years to deteriorate and represents real money to restore correctly.
