Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Holbrook

Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!

Professional Paver Cleaning Suffolk County

What Your Blue Point Pavers Look Like When Salt Air Loses

Living on the South Shore in Blue Point means your pavers are up against something most Long Island homeowners never deal with constant salt air off the Great South Bay. It doesn’t just dull the appearance over time. It breaks down sealer coatings faster, drives efflorescence to the surface, and eats into the joints until weeds find their way in.

By the time visible damage appears, the deterioration has usually been building for years. After a professional cleaning from us, the staining is gone, the biological growth is eliminated, and the surface is properly prepped for protection that actually holds. For Blue Point homeowners along Blue Point Avenue or near Corey Beach, that matters more than it does in an inland town because the bay doesn’t take a season off.

Many homes in Blue Point were built in the 1960s or earlier, with paver work added over the decades that has never been properly maintained. If your driveway, patio, or walkway hasn’t been cleaned and sealed in years, you’re not just looking at cosmetics. You’re looking at a lifespan problem. Pavers that stay sealed can last 20 to 25 years. Ones that don’t especially here often need replacement in seven to ten. That’s an $8,000 to $12,000 conversation nobody wants to have.

Paver Cleaning Company Blue Point, NY

50 Years of South Shore Experience We Know What Blue Point Pavers Face

Paver Savers is a family-owned company based in West Babylon, right here on the South Shore. We bring nearly 50 years of combined experience to every job concrete pavers, brick pavers, natural stone, all of it. We’re fully licensed and insured, and we work across Nassau and Suffolk counties for both residential and commercial clients.

Being South Shore-based means we understand what Great South Bay exposure actually does to hardscapes over time. The salt crystallization, the elevated moisture from the tidal influence, the way freeze-thaw cycles hit harder when the ground is already saturated that’s not something you learn from a manual. We’ve watched it happen on Blue Point properties for decades.

When you read through our reviews, you’ll notice something: customers name the technicians. Jon, Gino, Jonathan, John, Marlo these aren’t anonymous crews cycling through jobs. They’re experienced professionals who take the work seriously, communicate throughout the process, and leave the property cleaner than they found it. In a community like Blue Point where reputation travels fast, that kind of accountability is exactly what you want.

Paver Restoration Process Blue Point, NY

No Shortcuts Here's What the Job Actually Involves

The process starts with an honest assessment of what you’re dealing with. Not every paver situation is the same, and in Blue Point, the combination of salt air, sandy soils, and an elevated water table from the bay creates conditions that require a closer look before anything gets started. If there are shifted or sunken pavers, we address that before cleaning begins because sealing over a structural problem just locks it in.

From there, we use commercial-grade hot water systems, not the consumer pressure washers you’d rent from a hardware store. Hot water is what actually removes embedded biological growth, oil stains, and the salt deposits that accumulate on South Shore properties. It’s also what prepares the surface properly for sealing a step that gets skipped or rushed more often than it should be.

Once the surface is clean and dry, we treat and neutralize any efflorescence. Then polymeric sand goes into the joints this is the product that hardens when activated and keeps weeds and ants out for up to ten years, which is a significant upgrade from regular sand that washes out after a few heavy spring rains. The final step is sealing with the right product for your specific paver material and finish preference. We explain the whole sequence before work begins, so you know exactly what’s happening and why.

Brick Paver Cleaning Services Long Island

Every Paver Material, Every Blue Point Hardscape Application

We handle concrete pavers, brick pavers, and natural stone including bluestone, travertine, marble, limestone, and granite. Whether it’s a paver driveway off Montauk Highway, a backyard patio near the bay, a pool surround, or a front walkway that’s seen too many winters without attention, we tailor our approach to the material and the condition it’s actually in.

For Blue Point homeowners, the coastal environment creates specific challenges worth understanding. Salt air accelerates efflorescence on concrete and brick surfaces those white mineral deposits that look like the pavers are leaching from the inside. It also degrades sealer coatings faster than in inland communities, which is why the resealing cycle for Great South Bay properties tends to run every two to three years rather than the four to five years you’d expect further inland. That’s not a sales pitch it’s what the environment demands.

We also handle paver restoration for situations where the pavers look far gone but the foundation is still solid. If you’ve been assuming replacement is the only option, it’s worth getting a real assessment first. Restoration is almost always less expensive, and in a market where Blue Point home values have climbed to a median of $775,000, protecting what’s already there makes far more financial sense than tearing it out. We offer financing for those who want to move forward without the full upfront cost.

How often should Blue Point homeowners clean and seal their pavers?

For most Long Island communities, the standard recommendation is to clean pavers every one to two years and reseal every two to three years. But Blue Point is not a standard Long Island environment. The salt air off the Great South Bay degrades sealer coatings faster than in inland towns, and the elevated moisture from the bay’s tidal influence keeps the ground wetter for longer which accelerates biological growth between cleanings and wears down the protective layer more quickly.

For properties along Blue Point Avenue, near Corey Beach, or anywhere close to the waterfront, a two-year resealing cycle is a more realistic target than three. If you’re not sure where your pavers stand, a simple test is to pour a small amount of water on the surface. If it soaks in instead of beading up, the sealer has broken down and it’s time to act. Waiting longer doesn’t save money it just lets the damage compound.

In most cases, yes restoration is a real option, and it’s significantly less expensive than replacement. Full paver replacement on Long Island typically runs $8,000 to $12,000 or more depending on the scope. A professional cleaning and restoration is a fraction of that cost and can bring pavers that look completely worn out back to a condition that’s genuinely close to new.

The key factor is the foundation. If the base is still structurally sound meaning the pavers aren’t sinking because the sub-base has failed then cleaning, re-sanding the joints, addressing any shifted or cracked pavers, and sealing can extend the life of the installation by another decade or more. Blue Point has a lot of older housing stock, with many homes built in the 1960s and earlier. Paver installations added to those properties over the years are often well past their first maintenance cycle, but that doesn’t automatically mean they’re beyond saving. Getting an honest assessment before assuming replacement is the right call.

Polymeric sand is a joint filler that contains binding agents when it gets wet, it activates and hardens into a firm, cohesive material that locks the joints between pavers. Regular sand just sits there until the rain washes it out, which in Blue Point’s wet spring season happens quickly. Once the joints empty out, weeds move in, ants tunnel through, and the structural integrity of the paver surface starts to break down.

Professionally applied polymeric sand can hold up for up to ten years. That’s a meaningful difference compared to regular sand that might last one season before you’re pulling weeds again. For Blue Point homeowners dealing with flat, sandy soils and an elevated water table from the bay, joint erosion is a faster and more persistent problem than it would be in a drier, more inland community. Polymeric sand is the practical solution not a premium add-on, but a necessary part of doing the job correctly.

A consumer pressure washer will remove surface dirt, but it won’t do what professional equipment does. Commercial-grade hot water systems reach temperatures and pressures that actually break down biological growth at the root algae, moss, and mildew that have colonized paver surfaces don’t just get moved around, they get eliminated. Cold water from a rental unit redistributes the problem more than it solves it, and the results tend to fade within a season.

There’s also the preparation issue. Before pavers can be properly sealed, the surface needs to be completely clean, dry, and free of efflorescence. If any of those conditions aren’t met, the sealer won’t bond correctly and you end up with a cloudy, peeling, or hazy finish that’s actually harder to fix than the original problem. In Blue Point, where salt deposits and biological growth are more aggressive than in inland communities, the gap between consumer equipment and professional equipment is more pronounced. The DIY path often creates a second job for a professional to undo.

These are three different things, and the right answer depends on what’s actually going on with your pavers. Cleaning alone makes sense when the surface is dirty but the sealer is still intact and the joints are in reasonable shape. Sealing is needed when the water test fails water soaks in rather than beading on the surface or when fading, staining, and biological growth are visible. Restoration comes into play when there are shifted or sunken pavers, significant joint erosion, deep staining, or efflorescence that’s been building for years.

For Blue Point homeowners with older properties, it’s common to discover that pavers haven’t been touched in a decade or more. In that situation, you’re almost certainly looking at a full restoration sequence cleaning, efflorescence treatment, re-leveling any shifted pavers, polymeric sand installation, and sealing rather than a simple clean and seal. The good news is that even pavers in rough shape can usually be brought back without replacement, as long as the foundation underneath is still solid. An honest assessment at the start of the process tells you exactly where you stand.

Yes. Paver Savers is fully licensed and insured, adhering to New York State construction regulations. That’s not a minor detail in Suffolk County, where the barrier to entry for paver sealing is low and unlicensed operators are a real and known issue. An improperly applied sealer can cause permanent damage white haze, peeling, trapped moisture, or a slippery finish near a pool surround and if the company doing the work isn’t insured, the homeowner absorbs that risk.

In Blue Point specifically, where median home values have reached $775,000, the stakes of hiring the wrong company are genuinely high. Proof of insurance should be available on request from any contractor you hire for this kind of work. We carry full coverage and operate as a licensed contractor, which means you’re protected if anything unexpected happens during the job. It also means the work is being done by a company that meets the professional standards New York requires not someone with a pressure washer and a can of big-box store sealer.
