Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Paver Restoration Services Bellmore, NY
A lot of Bellmore homeowners reach a point where they look at their driveway or patio and quietly start dreading the replacement bill. The pavers are stained, the joints are full of weeds, maybe there’s that chalky white film that keeps coming back no matter what you spray on it. The assumption is that it’s too far gone. Most of the time, that assumption is wrong.
If the foundation is still stable, professional cleaning and restoration can bring pavers back to the way they looked when they were first installed without tearing anything out. For homes south of Merrick Road in Bellmore, where tidal flooding off the canals deposits silt, salt, and organic debris directly onto paver surfaces, that kind of deep remediation isn’t just cosmetic. It’s the difference between a surface that holds up for another decade and one that continues to break down every season.
Sealed pavers can last 20 to 25 years. Unsealed pavers in a South Shore environment like Bellmore typically need replacement in 7 to 10 years. The math is straightforward regular professional maintenance is almost always the smarter financial call, especially when you’re protecting a home worth well over $700,000.
Paver Cleaning Company Bellmore, NY
We’re a family-owned, fully licensed and insured company based in West Babylon about 15 miles east of Bellmore along the South Shore. Our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience to every job, and that experience was built right here, working through the same nor’easters, freeze-thaw cycles, and coastal conditions that affect every driveway and patio in Bellmore and Nassau County.
That matters in a town like Bellmore. The salt air coming off South Oyster Bay, the canal flooding that pushes water across yards on Shore Road and South Centre Avenue, the road salt runoff from Sunrise Highway in January these aren’t abstract weather concerns. They’re the specific conditions that cause pavers to fail faster here than almost anywhere else on Long Island. Our team has seen all of it, worked through all of it, and knows exactly what each situation calls for.
Both residential and commercial clients across Nassau and Suffolk counties trust Paver Savers to handle the work correctly the first time. That reputation wasn’t built on marketing it was built on results.
Professional Paver Cleaning Process Bellmore, NY
It starts with an honest assessment. Before any equipment comes out, we look at what you’re actually dealing with the condition of the pavers, the joint sand, whether there’s efflorescence present, and whether any pavers have shifted or settled. In Bellmore, that assessment often turns up salt deposits and biological growth that have been building since the last major flooding event, or freeze-thaw cracking along joints that were never properly filled to begin with. That upfront look determines exactly what the job needs.
From there, the cleaning phase uses commercial-grade hot water systems not the kind of consumer pressure washer you rent from a hardware store. Hot water reaches the organic matter, oil stains, algae, and embedded salt that cold water can’t touch. For South Bellmore properties that have seen repeated tidal flooding, this step is especially important. Surface cleaning isn’t enough when contaminants have worked their way into the joints.
Once the surface is clean and fully dry, any compromised joint sand gets replaced with polymeric sand, which hardens when activated and can hold up for close to a decade. Then the sealer goes on the right sealer for the specific material, applied in the right conditions. Spring is the ideal window in Bellmore, after winter damage becomes visible and before summer entertaining season begins. The finished result is a surface that’s protected, stabilized, and ready to hold up through whatever the South Shore throws at it next.

Brick and Patio Paver Cleaning Bellmore, NY
We handle concrete pavers, brick pavers, and natural stone including bluestone, travertine, marble, and granite. That range matters in Bellmore, where you’ll find everything from classic brick driveway pavers on 1960s North Bellmore ranches to elaborate natural stone pool decks and waterfront patios on canal-front properties in South Bellmore. Different materials respond differently to cleaning agents, sealers, and pressure levels, and using the wrong approach on the wrong material causes damage that’s expensive to fix.
Our full service includes deep cleaning, efflorescence treatment, weed removal, polymeric sand installation, paver leveling where needed, and sealing. For canal-adjacent properties in Bellmore, the process accounts for the specific contaminants that tidal flooding introduces the kind of silt and salt residue that requires more than a surface rinse. Driveways along Bellmore Avenue and Merrick Road that take on road salt runoff every winter get the same attention as a South Bellmore pool deck that’s been hit by repeated flooding.
We’re fully licensed and insured, which isn’t a formality in this market it’s protection for you. Incorrect sealing on a high-value Bellmore property can cause permanent surface damage. Financing options are also available for larger jobs, whether that’s a full driveway restoration, a multi-surface canal-front project, or anything in between.
Why do my Bellmore pavers keep getting that white chalky buildup every year?
That white film is called efflorescence, and it’s extremely common in South Shore communities like Bellmore. It happens when water moves through the concrete or stone in your pavers and carries dissolved mineral salts to the surface. When the water evaporates, the salts get left behind as that chalky white deposit. In Bellmore specifically, the combination of salt air from South Oyster Bay, tidal moisture from the canals, and road salt runoff from Sunrise Highway creates ideal conditions for efflorescence to keep returning season after season.
The important thing to understand is that sealing over efflorescence locks it in permanently it doesn’t go away underneath the sealer, it just gets trapped there and continues to look bad. Efflorescence needs to be chemically treated and neutralized before any sealing takes place. That’s a step that gets skipped by a lot of general pressure washing companies, but it’s a standard part of how we approach every job. Once it’s properly treated and the surface is sealed correctly, you’ll see significantly less recurrence going forward.
How often should I be cleaning and sealing my pavers on Long Island's South Shore?
For most paver surfaces in Nassau County, the general recommendation is to clean every one to two years and reseal every two to three years. But Bellmore’s South Shore position pushes that toward the more frequent end of that range. The salt air off South Oyster Bay, the regular tidal flooding in South Bellmore, and the freeze-thaw cycles Nassau County experiences every winter all accelerate the breakdown of sealers and joint sand faster than you’d see in a more sheltered inland location.
A practical way to check whether your pavers need resealing is to pour a small amount of water on the surface. If it beads up and rolls off, the sealer is still doing its job. If it soaks in, the sealer has worn through and the surface is exposed. For canal-adjacent properties in South Bellmore that see flooding events multiple times a year, it’s worth doing that check every spring after winter ends. Catching it early costs a fraction of what deferred maintenance ends up running.
Can my old pavers actually be restored, or do I need to replace them at this point?
This is probably the most common question, and the honest answer is that replacement is necessary far less often than most homeowners assume. If the underlying base is still stable meaning the pavers aren’t sinking due to a failed sub-base or serious drainage problem then cleaning, leveling, re-sanding, and sealing can bring a surface back to looking genuinely good, even if it’s been neglected for years.
Bellmore has a lot of homes built in the 1950s through the 1970s, and many of those properties have paver driveways and patios that are 20 to 40 years old. Those surfaces often look rough stained, weed-choked, shifted in spots but that doesn’t automatically mean they need to be torn out. Full paver replacement on Long Island runs into the thousands of dollars. Restoration, when the foundation is sound, costs a fraction of that and delivers results that genuinely surprise most homeowners. We’ll tell you honestly whether restoration is the right call or whether replacement makes more sense there’s no benefit to selling you a cleaning job on a surface that actually needs to be rebuilt.
What's the difference between polymeric sand and regular joint sand, and does it matter?
Regular joint sand washes out. That’s not an exaggeration a few heavy rains is often enough to erode it significantly, and in Bellmore’s canal community where flooding events push water across paver surfaces multiple times a year, regular sand can disappear from joints surprisingly fast. Once the joints are empty, weeds move in, pavers start shifting, and what was a maintenance issue becomes a structural one.
Polymeric sand contains binding agents that activate with water and then harden as the sand cures. When it’s professionally applied, it locks the joints, resists weed infiltration, and holds up against ant tunneling. A properly installed polymeric sand application can last close to 10 years under normal conditions though in South Bellmore’s flooding environment, it’s worth checking it periodically after significant storm events. The installation process matters too. The surface needs to be clean and dry, the sand needs to be compacted and swept correctly, and it needs to be activated with the right amount of water. Done right, it makes a noticeable difference in how long your pavers stay stable between service visits.
Is spring really the best time to get paver cleaning done in Bellmore, or can I wait until summer?
Spring is genuinely the best window, and the reasoning is specific to what Bellmore’s pavers go through every winter. By late March or April, you can see the full picture of what the season did the freeze-thaw cracking, the salt residue from Sunrise Highway and Merrick Road runoff, the efflorescence that surfaced over the winter, and whatever flooding damage accumulated in South Bellmore during the colder months. Addressing all of that before summer means your outdoor spaces are ready for the season rather than looking rough through it.
Summer work is absolutely possible, but there are a few practical considerations. Sealer needs to be applied when temperatures and humidity are within the right range, and Long Island summers can get humid enough to complicate the drying and curing process. More practically, spring is peak season for paver work on Long Island, and scheduling during summer especially later in the season means you’re competing with everyone who waited. If you’re planning to use your patio or pool deck heavily through July and August, getting the work done in April or May gives you the full season to enjoy the results.
How do I know if the paver company I'm hiring is actually qualified to do the work correctly?
The first thing to confirm is that they’re fully licensed and insured in New York State. This matters more than it might seem the barrier to entry for offering paver sealing is low, and there are plenty of operators who will show up with consumer-grade equipment and a big-box store sealer and call it professional work. If something goes wrong wrong sealer chemistry, moisture trapped under the surface, etching from improper pressure washing you want to know there’s insurance coverage in place and a company that’s accountable for the outcome.
Beyond licensing, ask how long the company has been doing this work specifically. General pressure washing experience and dedicated paver restoration experience are not the same thing. Ask whether they treat efflorescence before sealing, whether they use polymeric sand or regular sand, and what type of sealer they use for your specific paver material. A company that can answer those questions clearly and specifically without being vague or evasive is a company that actually knows what they’re doing. Paver Savers has nearly 50 years of combined experience working Long Island hardscapes, is fully licensed and insured, and will walk you through exactly what your specific job requires before any work begins.
