Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Paver Cleaning Services Babylon NY
When pavers start looking stained, faded, or overgrown with weeds, most homeowners assume the worst that it’s time to rip everything out and start over. In most cases, that’s not true. Professional paver cleaning and restoration can bring surfaces back to life without the cost or disruption of a full replacement, which on Long Island runs $8,000 to $12,000 or more.
Babylon homeowners face a specific set of challenges that inland Long Island towns don’t. Year-round salt air off Great South Bay breaks down sealers faster, promotes algae and biofilm growth, and accelerates white mineral deposits efflorescence that make pavers look old before their time. Properties closer to the water along Bayview Avenue or Shore Road face the most aggressive version of this. It’s a different environment than what you’d deal with even a few miles inland, and maintenance needs to reflect that reality.
Then there’s the flooding reality. The Town of Babylon sits at some of the lowest elevations on Long Island’s South Shore, and the town itself acknowledges that flooding is expected during heavy rain events. Every nor’easter or storm system deposits sediment, salt, and debris directly onto your hardscaping. That’s not just cosmetic it’s compounding damage that gets harder and more expensive to address the longer it sits.
Professional cleaning removes what storms leave behind. We restore color, eliminate biological growth, and prepare the surface for sealing that actually holds up to Babylon’s South Shore conditions. The result is hardscaping that looks right, lasts longer, and doesn’t need to be replaced anytime soon.
Professional Paver Cleaning Company Babylon
Paver Savers is a family-owned company based in West Babylon, NY. That’s not a marketing detail it means when we show up to a job in Babylon Village or anywhere else in the Town of Babylon, we already know the neighborhood, the soils, the streets, and what the South Shore does to hardscaping through every season. We’re not driving in from Nassau County or the North Shore and figuring it out as we go.
Our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience to every job. We’re fully licensed and insured, and we operate in compliance with New York’s construction regulations which matters in a community where FEMA flood zone requirements and municipal property standards are part of everyday homeownership. We serve both residential and commercial clients across Nassau and Suffolk counties, but the Town of Babylon is home turf.
Customers consistently tell us the same thing after we’re done: they kept looking at their pavers because they couldn’t believe the difference. That reaction is what we’re after on every single job.
Paver Restoration Process Babylon NY
Every job starts with a proper assessment. Before any equipment comes out, we look at the condition of the pavers, the joint sand, any efflorescence or biological growth, and whether there’s shifting or structural unevenness that needs to be addressed. In Babylon, sandy soils and the area’s low elevation mean that paver bases can shift after heavy rain or storm flooding so we look for that before we start cleaning, not after.
Once we know what we’re working with, we deep clean the surface using commercial-grade hot water systems and professional cleaning products. This isn’t a consumer pressure washer from a hardware store. The heat and volume of professional equipment is what actually removes salt deposits, algae, mold, oil stains, and post-storm sediment the kind of buildup that cold water and standard pressure alone can’t touch. If efflorescence is present, we treat and neutralize it before anything else happens. Sealing over it locks it in permanently, and that’s not a mistake we make.
After cleaning, we replace worn joint sand with polymeric sand, which hardens when activated and resists weed growth, erosion, and ant tunneling for up to 10 years. For Babylon properties where storm runoff regularly washes out regular sand, this upgrade is especially worth it. The final step is sealing using high-quality sealers in the finish that works best for your specific paver material and exposure conditions. Spring is the natural window for this work on Long Island, right after the freeze-thaw season reveals what winter left behind. Fall is the secondary window, before the next round of salt and cold sets in.

Brick and Driveway Paver Cleaning Babylon
Babylon Village has one of the more varied housing stocks on Long Island’s South Shore Victorian-era homes, early 20th-century properties, mid-century ranches and Cape Cods, and newer construction all exist within a few blocks of each other. That means the paver materials on driveways, patios, walkways, and pool decks vary just as much. Brick pavers, concrete pavers, natural stone bluestone, travertine, marble, limestone, granite each one responds differently to cleaning products, sealer types, and application methods. Using the wrong approach on the wrong material causes real damage.
We work across all of these materials, and the process is tailored to what’s actually in front of us. Concrete pavers get treated differently than natural stone. A patio near the water with heavy salt-air algae exposure gets a different cleaning approach than a shaded brick walkway near Argyle Park dealing mostly with moss and moisture. There’s no one-size-fits-all here.
Beyond cleaning and sealing, we also handle paver repair and restoration leveling shifted or sunken pavers, re-laying sections that have moved, and full restoration of surfaces that look too far gone to save. If the foundation is still sound, which it usually is, restoration is almost always the smarter call over replacement. We also offer financing options, making it easier to address the work now rather than waiting until a manageable cleaning job becomes a structural repair.
How does living near Great South Bay affect how often I should clean my pavers?
The short answer is more often than you’d need to inland. Salt air off Great South Bay doesn’t just affect boats and metal it actively works against paver sealers, promotes algae and biofilm growth on surfaces, and accelerates efflorescence, especially on concrete and natural stone. A sealer that might hold up for three years in an inland Suffolk County town can start breaking down in two years or less in Babylon.
As a general rule, professional paver cleaning every one to two years makes sense for most Long Island properties. For Babylon homeowners particularly those on or near the water along Bayview Avenue, Shore Road, or the barrier island communities leaning toward the shorter end of that range is the smarter call. The cost of regular maintenance is a fraction of what you’d spend addressing years of accumulated salt damage, and it keeps your sealer doing its job between applications.
My pavers look bad after the last storm is that something that can be fixed?
Almost certainly, yes. Storm events in Babylon nor’easters, heavy rain, and the kind of flooding the Town itself acknowledges is a regular occurrence on the South Shore deposit sediment, salt, and biological debris directly onto paver surfaces. That post-storm discoloration, staining, and grimy film is exactly what professional paver cleaning is designed to address.
What most homeowners don’t realize is that storm damage to pavers often goes beyond the surface. Floodwater and heavy runoff wash out joint sand, which leaves pavers unstable and creates the conditions for weed growth and further shifting. When we clean a property after a storm event, we’re also assessing the joints, the base stability, and whether any pavers have shifted in a way that needs to be corrected before sealing. Catching that early is the difference between a straightforward cleaning job and a much more involved repair down the road.
What's the difference between paver cleaning and paver restoration, and do I need both?
Paver cleaning is the process of removing surface-level buildup dirt, algae, mold, stains, efflorescence, and debris using professional equipment and cleaning agents. Restoration goes further: it addresses structural issues like shifted or sunken pavers, deteriorated joint sand, and surface damage that cleaning alone can’t fix. Some jobs only need cleaning. Others need both.
The way to think about it is this: if your pavers are dirty but structurally intact, cleaning and sealing is the answer. If they’re uneven, cracking, or the joints have eroded to the point where weeds are growing freely and pavers are rocking underfoot, restoration is what’s actually needed. In Babylon, where sandy soils and storm runoff regularly compromise paver bases, we see a fair amount of jobs that start as “just a cleaning” and reveal shifting or joint erosion once we get eyes on the surface. The assessment at the start of every job is how we figure out which path makes sense for your specific property.
How long does paver sealing last, and when is the right time of year to do it in Babylon?
For most Long Island properties, paver sealing needs to be renewed every two to three years. In Babylon’s coastal environment where salt air, humidity, and storm exposure are more intense than inland areas checking your sealer closer to the two-year mark is a reasonable approach. The easiest test is to pour a small amount of water on the surface. If it beads up, the sealer is still working. If it soaks in, it’s time.
Timing matters too. Spring is the primary window on Long Island after the freeze-thaw season has run its course and before summer entertaining begins. Fall is the secondary window, giving your pavers protection going into winter before road salt and freezing temperatures set in. What you want to avoid is sealing when rain is in the forecast or temperatures are too low, because moisture trapped under the sealer causes cloudiness and peeling. We schedule jobs around those conditions, not just around calendar availability.
Can I just pressure wash my own pavers instead of hiring a professional?
You can, but there are real risks to doing it yourself that most homeowners don’t find out about until after the fact. Consumer pressure washers lack the heat output of commercial hot water systems, which is what actually breaks down salt deposits, algae, and oil stains at the surface level. Cold water under pressure moves debris around it doesn’t always remove it. On top of that, incorrect pressure settings or the wrong nozzle angle can etch and streak paver surfaces, which is a cosmetic problem that’s difficult and expensive to fix.
The bigger issue is what comes after the cleaning. If you clean your pavers and then apply a sealer from a hardware store without addressing efflorescence, replacing eroded joint sand, or choosing the right sealer type for your specific paver material, you can end up with a hazy, peeling, or discolored surface within months. The DIY path looks cheaper upfront, but the cost of fixing a bad DIY sealing job or dealing with damage that accelerated because the surface wasn’t properly maintained tends to be higher than professional service would have been in the first place.
Do you work on commercial properties in Babylon, not just residential homes?
Yes. We serve both residential and commercial clients across Nassau and Suffolk counties, and that includes commercial properties in Babylon and throughout the Town of Babylon. Babylon Village has an active Main Street and a commercial center that draws significant foot traffic particularly around Deer Park Avenue and the area near the LIRR station. For business owners, the condition of exterior hardscaping is a direct reflection of the business itself, and high-traffic commercial pavers take on a different level of wear than a residential driveway.
Commercial jobs are assessed and approached the same way as residential ones starting with a proper evaluation of the surface, materials, and any structural issues before any work begins. The equipment, products, and process are the same. What changes is the scale and scheduling, since commercial properties often need to work around business hours or customer access. If you own or manage a commercial property in Babylon and the hardscaping needs attention, the process starts the same way it does for every job: a straightforward conversation about what’s there and what it needs.
