Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Professional Paver Cleaning, Suffolk County
Most homeowners don’t realize how much damage accumulates quietly. Salt air from Long Island Sound hits from the north. Northport Bay pushes moisture from the south. Add in freeze-thaw cycles every winter, and you’ve got a combination that breaks down unsealed pavers faster than almost anywhere else on Long Island.
By the time staining, efflorescence, and joint erosion become visible, the damage has been building for seasons. The good news is that most of it is reversible. Professional paver cleaning removes the biological growth, mineral deposits, and embedded grime that standard pressure washing leaves behind. A proper clean followed by the right sealer dramatically slows the rate of deterioration and in a coastal environment like Asharoken’s, that difference in lifespan is measured in years, not months.
For properties on the Sound side of the isthmus especially, where wave splash-over onto Asharoken Avenue has been documented during storm events, the case for professional maintenance isn’t just aesthetic. Salt water deposited on your driveway or patio during a nor’easter doesn’t just evaporate cleanly. It works its way into the paver surface, accelerates efflorescence, and erodes joint sand in ways that compound over time.
Staying on top of it with the right process keeps restoration manageable and keeps replacement off the table.
Paver Cleaning Company Near Northport
We’re a family-owned company based in West Babylon, serving all of Suffolk County including the North Shore communities of Northport, East Northport, Huntington, and Asharoken. Our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience to every job, which means we’ve seen what Long Island’s climate actually does to pavers over time, not just what the product specs say.
We’re fully licensed and insured, compliant with New York’s construction regulations, and we work with concrete, brick, and natural stone including the bluestone, travertine, and granite surfaces common on Asharoken’s waterfront estates. This isn’t a general pressure washing company that added pavers to a service menu. We specialize in this work and only this work.
Asharoken clients Cindy and Manny put it well: Gino and the crew were “meticulous and cared about the outcome as much as we did.” That’s the standard we hold ourselves to on every job, whether it’s a 200-square-foot patio or a full estate driveway on the water.
Paver Restoration Process, Long Island
The process starts with an honest assessment of what you’re dealing with. Before anything is cleaned or sealed, we evaluate the condition of the pavers, identify any structural shifting or cracking, check the joint sand, and look for efflorescence or biological growth. In Asharoken, where salt exposure and storm runoff are ongoing factors, this step matters the treatment approach for a paver surface that’s been absorbing coastal moisture for years is different from a standard suburban driveway.
From there, cleaning happens first. We use commercial-grade hot water systems not consumer pressure washers to pull out the embedded grime, algae, mold, and mineral deposits that cold water can’t fully address. If efflorescence is present, it gets treated and neutralized before anything else goes on top. Sealing over untreated efflorescence locks it in permanently, which is a mistake that’s difficult and expensive to undo.
Once the surface is clean and completely dry, we install polymeric sand in the joints where needed. This is especially important for Asharoken properties, where regular joint sand washes out quickly under coastal rain and storm conditions. Polymeric sand hardens when activated, locks the joints, and resists both weed infiltration and erosion for years.
The sealer goes on last, applied only when conditions are right the right temperature, the right moisture level, the right product for the specific material. That’s the sequence. No shortcuts, no skipped steps.

Brick and Patio Paver Cleaning, Asharoken
Asharoken’s luxury waterfront properties don’t all have the same pavers. Some have long concrete paver driveways. Others have natural stone pool surrounds travertine, bluestone, granite that require a completely different approach than concrete. We work across all of these materials, with tailored cleaning methods and sealer selection for each one.
Natural stone is more porous and more sensitive to the wrong product than concrete, and in a high-salt environment like Asharoken’s, using the wrong sealer chemistry doesn’t just underperform it can cause permanent surface damage.
We offer driveway paver cleaning, patio paver cleaning, walkway cleaning, pool deck cleaning and sealing, polymeric sand installation, efflorescence treatment, paver leveling and repair, and full paver restoration for surfaces that have been neglected over multiple seasons. If your pavers have shifted, faded, or taken on years of coastal staining, restoration is almost always the right answer before replacement and on an Asharoken estate where a large-scale paver installation represents a significant investment, that distinction matters.
We also serve commercial clients, which means we’re equipped for larger-scale jobs. For residential clients in Asharoken, that translates to professional-grade equipment and process discipline applied to your property, regardless of scope. Financing is available for those who want to get the work done now and manage the cost over time.
How does living near Long Island Sound affect how often I should clean my pavers?
More often than you’d think. The general recommendation for Long Island pavers is cleaning every one to two years and resealing every two to three years. But in Asharoken, where you’re dealing with salt air from Long Island Sound on one side and Northport Bay on the other, that timeline compresses.
Salt accelerates efflorescence, degrades joint sand faster, and promotes the kind of biological growth algae, mold, moss that thrives in constantly moist coastal conditions. If your property is on the Sound side of the isthmus, where wave splash-over during storms has been documented reaching Asharoken Avenue, your pavers are taking on more than just ambient salt air. They’re periodically exposed to actual coastal water deposition.
That’s a reason to stay on schedule rather than waiting until the damage becomes obvious. Catching it early keeps the job manageable and keeps your pavers looking the way they should.
My pavers look stained and faded do they need to be replaced or can they be restored?
In most cases, they can be restored and restoration is almost always the better financial decision. Full paver replacement on Long Island runs into the thousands of dollars, and on an Asharoken estate with a large driveway, pool surround, or waterfront patio, that number climbs significantly. If the foundation underneath is still structurally sound, professional cleaning and sealing can bring pavers that look far gone back to a condition that surprises most homeowners.
The staining and fading you’re seeing is typically surface-level embedded grime, algae, efflorescence, UV color loss. These are all addressable with the right cleaning process and the right sealer. What actually warrants replacement is structural failure: pavers that are cracking through, a base that has heaved or settled beyond leveling, or material that has physically broken down beyond the surface.
A proper assessment will tell you which situation you’re in. Most of the time, the answer is restoration, not replacement.
What is efflorescence and why does it keep coming back on my Asharoken pavers?
Efflorescence is the white, chalky deposit that forms on paver surfaces when water moves through the material and carries dissolved minerals primarily calcium carbonate to the surface, where they crystallize as the water evaporates. It’s a natural characteristic of concrete and masonry materials, but it’s significantly more pronounced in environments with high moisture exposure and mineral-rich water contact.
In Asharoken, the combination of coastal salt water exposure, frequent rain, and the moisture that comes from being surrounded by water on two sides creates near-ideal conditions for efflorescence to develop and return. Sealing over it without proper treatment locks it in permanently, which is why treatment and neutralization before sealing is a non-negotiable step in our process.
Even after proper treatment, some efflorescence can recur over time as new moisture cycles through the material. The goal isn’t to eliminate it forever it’s to treat it correctly each time and seal the surface in a way that slows the process and keeps it manageable between service visits.
Is polymeric sand really necessary, or is regular joint sand fine for my driveway?
For most Asharoken properties, polymeric sand isn’t optional it’s the only practical choice. Regular joint sand washes out after a few heavy rain events. In a village where storm surge has reached Asharoken Avenue, where coastal rain events are frequent, and where the surrounding water table keeps ground moisture consistently elevated, regular sand has a very short functional lifespan.
Once it washes out, weeds move in, ants tunnel through the joints, and the structural stability of the paver surface begins to degrade. Polymeric sand is different. It contains binding agents that activate when water is applied during installation, causing the sand to harden and lock the joints. When professionally installed, it resists erosion, blocks weed infiltration, and discourages ant tunneling.
It can last up to ten years under normal conditions longer than regular sand survives a single Long Island winter in a coastal environment. For a driveway or patio that you’ve invested in, the difference in longevity is significant enough that skipping it doesn’t make financial sense.
Can you clean and seal natural stone pavers, or only concrete?
Natural stone is well within scope. We work with concrete pavers, brick pavers, and natural stone including bluestone, travertine, marble, limestone, and granite. The approach is different for each material, which matters more than most homeowners realize.
Natural stone is generally more porous than concrete, more sensitive to acidic or alkaline cleaners, and requires sealer products specifically formulated for stone rather than concrete paver chemistry. Using the wrong product on travertine or bluestone can cause permanent surface etching or discoloration.
For Asharoken properties with stone pool surrounds, waterfront patios, or walkways to docks and private beaches, this material-specific expertise is directly relevant. The salt environment accelerates staining and biological growth on natural stone just as it does on concrete but the treatment approach has to be calibrated to the material. The assessment at the start of every job includes identifying exactly what you have and selecting the right cleaning method and sealer accordingly.
When is the best time of year to schedule paver cleaning and sealing in Asharoken?
Spring is the primary window for most Asharoken homeowners. After winter’s freeze-thaw cycles and nor’easter season, the damage from the prior months becomes visible heaved pavers, eroded joint sand, algae growth that built up under snow cover, efflorescence from salt water exposure. Getting the cleaning and sealing done in spring means you’re heading into summer entertaining season with pavers that look right and are properly protected.
Fall is the second best window, and it’s worth taking seriously in Asharoken specifically. Sealing before winter gives the surface a protective layer going into the most damaging season when freeze-thaw cycling and coastal storm exposure are at their worst. The timing requirement is that temperatures need to be consistently above a certain threshold and the surface needs to be dry at the time of application, so scheduling ahead of the first cold snaps matters.
Summer can work too, but the peak season creates scheduling demand, so booking early is the practical move. Our scheduling process is straightforward Asharoken clients have specifically called out how well the communication and workflow are managed from the first call through project completion.
