Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Paver Restoration Services Center Moriches
If your driveway or patio has gone from rich and clean to faded, stained, or overrun with weeds pushing through every joint, you’re not imagining things and it’s not just age. In Center Moriches, salt-laden air off Moriches Bay works on unsealed pavers the same way it works on everything else near the water. It penetrates, it deposits, and it compounds over time. The white mineral patches you’re seeing? That’s efflorescence and it’s more common here than in communities further inland.
The good news is that most pavers don’t need to be replaced. They need to be properly cleaned, treated, and sealed by someone who actually knows what they’re doing. When that happens, the transformation is real not just a surface shine, but a restoration that adds years back to the life of the hardscape you already paid for.
For Center Moriches homeowners, where median home values are approaching $700,000 and outdoor living spaces are part of the reason people choose to live here, keeping those spaces looking sharp isn’t just cosmetic. It’s a straightforward way to protect an investment that’s already significant and still growing.
Paver Cleaning Company Center Moriches, NY
We’re a family-owned, fully licensed and insured company based in West Babylon which puts us squarely on the same South Shore corridor as Center Moriches. This isn’t a Nassau County operation crossing into unfamiliar territory. We know what South Shore weather does to hardscapes, and we’ve been dealing with it for a long time.
With nearly 50 years of combined experience across our team, we’ve worked on driveways, patios, walkways, and pool surrounds throughout the Moriches area including real jobs in Center Moriches with reviews on file from local homeowners. One customer put it simply: “Job bricks are brand new again.” Another noted our technicians were “very professional and knowledgeable” and took “time to answer all of my questions” and that the price was fair.
That’s the standard every job is held to here. Not just showing up and sealing something, but doing it right, explaining the process, and leaving the property in better shape than we found it.
Professional Paver Cleaning Process Center Moriches
The process starts with a thorough assessment of your pavers what material they are, what condition they’re in, whether there’s efflorescence, structural shifting, or compromised joints. In Center Moriches, that assessment almost always turns up some degree of salt-driven mineral deposit and joint sand erosion, especially on properties with any bay exposure. That context shapes everything that follows.
From there, our cleaning phase uses commercial-grade hot water systems not the kind of consumer pressure washer you can rent from a hardware store. Hot water reaches the organic material, staining, and efflorescence that cold water simply moves around. If efflorescence is present, we neutralize it with a specific treatment before anything else happens. Sealing over untreated efflorescence locks it in permanently, which is one of the most common mistakes made by less experienced operators.
Once the surface is clean and completely dry, we install polymeric sand in the joints where needed. This is the step that stops weeds from coming back. Unlike regular sand, which washes out after a few heavy rains and Center Moriches sees plenty of those polymeric sand hardens and holds. Professionally applied, it can last up to 10 years. The final step is sealing, using high-quality sealers matched to your specific paver material and finish preference. Spring is the natural window for this work on Long Island, and fall is the second-best option before winter freeze-thaw cycles set in.

Brick and Patio Paver Cleaning Center Moriches
We work with concrete pavers, brick pavers, and natural stone including bluestone, travertine, marble, limestone, and granite. That range matters in Center Moriches, where you’ll find everything from classic brick paver driveways on the established residential streets to natural stone pool surrounds and waterfront patio installations on bay-adjacent properties. Each material has different porosity, different sealer requirements, and different vulnerabilities and we adjust our approach accordingly.
Our services include paver cleaning, paver sealing, full paver restoration, paver repair and leveling, polymeric sand installation, and efflorescence treatment. These aren’t sold as rigid packages the scope is built around what your specific pavers actually need. A driveway that’s never been sealed and is 20 years old needs a different approach than a patio that was sealed three years ago and just needs a refresh. We’ll tell you honestly which situation you’re in.
For homeowners considering a larger project driveway, patio, walkway, and pool surround all at once we offer financing options. No competitor serving Center Moriches was found to offer this, and for a full-scope restoration job, it makes a meaningful difference. We’re fully licensed and insured, adhering to New York’s construction regulations, and carry general liability coverage something worth confirming with any contractor before work begins on a property worth what homes in Center Moriches are worth.
How does living near Moriches Bay affect how often I should seal my pavers?
It’s a fair question, and the honest answer is that coastal proximity does matter. Salt air off Moriches Bay doesn’t just affect your car and your gutters it works on paver surfaces too. Salt penetrates unsealed pavers, accelerates efflorescence, and breaks down joint sand faster than you’d see in an inland community.
The general industry recommendation for Long Island is to reseal pavers every two to three years. For properties in Center Moriches with direct or near-direct bay exposure, staying closer to the two-year end of that range is the smarter call. If you’re not sure where you stand, a simple test is whether water beads on the surface or soaks in. If it soaks in, the sealer is gone and your pavers are unprotected.
My pavers look terrible do I actually need to replace them, or can they be restored?
In most cases, replacement is not necessary and it’s worth knowing the cost difference before you make that call. Full paver replacement on Long Island runs $8,000 to $12,000 or more depending on the scope. Professional cleaning and sealing is a fraction of that. If the foundation underneath your pavers is still stable and the pavers themselves aren’t structurally broken beyond repair, restoration is almost always the right move financially.
The key is getting an honest assessment from someone who actually knows what to look for. Faded color, staining, weed growth, and even significant efflorescence are all restorable conditions. Shifted or sunken pavers can often be releveled and re-laid as part of the restoration process. What you’re seeing on the surface the discoloration, the grime, the weeds is usually the result of years without proper maintenance, not structural failure. A thorough cleaning, efflorescence treatment, polymeric sand, and fresh sealer can bring pavers back to a condition that genuinely surprises homeowners who had written them off.
What is efflorescence and why does it keep showing up on my Center Moriches pavers?
Efflorescence is the white, chalky mineral residue that forms on paver surfaces when water moves through the material and carries soluble salts to the surface, where they crystallize as the water evaporates. It’s not a sign that your pavers are defective it’s a natural process that happens with concrete and masonry materials. But in a coastal community like Center Moriches, where salt air adds to the mineral load in the environment, it tends to be more pronounced and more persistent than in inland areas.
The important thing to understand is that efflorescence has to be neutralized before sealing not sealed over. If a contractor applies sealer over active efflorescence, the deposits get locked in and the problem becomes permanent. We use a specific efflorescence treatment as a dedicated step in the process, not as an afterthought. Once it’s properly neutralized and the surface is sealed, the recurrence is significantly reduced. It may come back over time as the pavers continue to age, but regular maintenance keeps it manageable.
How long does paver sealing actually last, and what affects that timeline?
A professionally applied sealer on Long Island typically holds up for two to three years before it needs to be renewed. That’s the honest range not a marketing number, just what the conditions here produce. The variables that shorten or extend that window include the quality of the sealer used, how thoroughly the surface was cleaned and dried before application, the type of paver material, and the specific exposure conditions of the property.
In Center Moriches, properties with southern exposure toward Moriches Bay or with heavy tree coverage which keeps surfaces damp and promotes algae growth tend to see sealer break down on the shorter end of that range. Properties with good drainage and less direct coastal exposure can often go closer to three years. The best indicator is the water bead test: pour a small amount of water on the surface. If it beads up and rolls off, the sealer is still active. If it soaks in within a few seconds, it’s time to reseal. Waiting too long after that point means your pavers are unprotected through whatever the next winter brings.
Can I just pressure wash my pavers myself instead of hiring someone?
You can pressure wash your own pavers, but there’s a real gap between what a consumer pressure washer does and what professional equipment does and that gap matters when it comes to results that actually last. Consumer pressure washers typically use cold water and don’t have the volume or heat output to remove oil stains, kill mold and algae at the root, or properly prepare the surface for sealing. They can also etch or streak paver surfaces if the wrong nozzle or pressure setting is used, which creates a new problem on top of the original one.
The bigger issue is what comes after cleaning. If you clean the pavers yourself but apply a sealer without addressing efflorescence, without replacing eroded joint sand with polymeric sand, or without letting the surface dry completely, the sealer will fail sometimes within a season. DIY sealing failures are one of the most common reasons homeowners end up calling us: they did the work themselves, it looked fine for a few months, and then it started peeling, hazing, or trapping moisture. Doing it right the first time is almost always cheaper than fixing a DIY attempt gone wrong.
What should I look for when hiring a paver cleaning company in Center Moriches?
The first thing to confirm is that the company is fully licensed and insured. Paver sealing doesn’t carry the same licensing scrutiny as larger construction work, which means the barrier to entry is low and unlicensed operators are common. In a hamlet where homes are worth what Center Moriches homes are worth, you want a contractor who carries general liability insurance and can show it because incorrect sealing can cause real property damage, and if the company isn’t insured, that cost lands on you.
Beyond licensing, look for a company that explains the process before they start not just “we clean and seal,” but what specific steps they’re taking and why. Ask whether they treat efflorescence as a separate step, what type of sealer they use for your specific paver material, and whether polymeric sand is part of the job. A company that can answer those questions clearly has done this enough times to know what they’re doing. Also look for reviews that name specific technicians and describe the actual job not just a star rating. That level of detail in a review tells you something real about how the company operates.
