Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Holbrook

Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!

Professional Paver Cleaning Nassau County

What Your Cedarhurst Pavers Look Like After We're Done

When paver cleaning is done right, the difference isn’t subtle. Stains disappear. Weed growth stops. The color comes back. The surface that’s been quietly degrading under salt air and freeze-thaw cycles looks the way it did when it was first installed sometimes better.

For Cedarhurst homeowners specifically, that matters more than it might in other parts of Long Island. You’re on the South Shore, just miles from Reynolds Channel and the Atlantic. Salt-laden air deposits on paver surfaces year-round, breaking down sealer bonds, pulling minerals to the surface as white staining, and eating through joint sand faster than it would in an inland Nassau County town.

The damage isn’t always visible at first. By the time it is, it’s been building for seasons. The other factor is the freeze-thaw cycle. Nassau County winters cycle above and below freezing repeatedly, and moisture that gets into unsealed joints expands when it freezes. Cedarhurst’s South Shore humidity means there’s more moisture available to penetrate those joints than in drier areas further inland.

Clean, sealed pavers with properly installed polymeric sand stop that cycle before it cracks and shifts the surface. That’s the outcome not just a cleaner driveway, but a structurally sound one that doesn’t need replacing in five years.

Paver Cleaning Services Long Island

Nearly 50 Years of South Shore Experience Shows in Every Job

We’re a family-owned company based in West Babylon, NY, serving residential and commercial clients across Nassau and Suffolk counties. Our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience specifically in paver cleaning, sealing, and restoration not as a side service, but as the entire focus of what we do.

That distinction matters when you’re dealing with South Shore conditions that general pressure-washing companies haven’t encountered enough times to handle correctly. Cedarhurst homeowners have median property values approaching $1 million. The pavers on those properties driveways, patios, walkways are part of that asset, and they’re exposed to conditions that demand more than a quick rinse and a coat of whatever sealer was on sale.

We’re fully licensed and insured, adhering to New York’s construction regulations. Every job is handled by trained technicians who take the work seriously enough that customers name them by name in reviews. If you’re in Cedarhurst, on Rockaway Turnpike, off Peninsula Boulevard, or anywhere in the Five Towns, we’ve been in this market long enough to know exactly what your pavers are up against.

Clean and Restore Pavers Cedarhurst, NY

No Guesswork Here's Exactly What Our Process Looks Like

Every job starts with an assessment of what’s actually going on with your pavers not just the surface appearance, but the joint condition, any efflorescence present, whether the foundation has shifted, and what material you’re working with. Concrete, brick, natural stone, bluestone, travertine each one responds differently, and we adjust the cleaning approach and sealer selection accordingly.

From there, the cleaning phase uses commercial-grade hot water systems, not consumer pressure washers. That distinction matters because hot water removes oil stains, algae, mold, and the biological growth that cold water pressure washing can’t fully break down.

For Cedarhurst properties with shaded driveways under mature trees which is common on the village’s tree-lined residential streets biological growth tends to be heavier than on sun-exposed surfaces, and it needs the right equipment to actually clear it.

After cleaning, any existing joint sand gets removed and replaced with polymeric sand, which hardens when activated and locks the joints against weed infiltration, ant tunneling, and erosion. Sealing follows once the surface is completely dry the sealer type chosen based on your specific paver material and the finish you want. The job wraps with the surface left clean, no mess in the yard, and a result that’s built to last through the next few Long Island winters.

Brick Paver Cleaning Cedarhurst, NY

Every Step Accounts for What South Shore Pavers Actually Face

We handle the full scope paver cleaning, paver sealing, polymeric sand installation, efflorescence treatment, paver repair, and full restoration for surfaces that have been neglected long enough to need more than a cleaning. There are no named packages or preset tiers. The scope of the work is determined by what your pavers actually need, which is assessed before anything starts.

For Cedarhurst specifically, a few things come up consistently. Efflorescence those white mineral deposits that appear on the surface is common on South Shore properties because of the elevated moisture and salt air exposure. It has to be treated and neutralized before sealing, not sealed over. If it gets locked under a sealer, it stays there permanently. That’s one of the most common mistakes made by less experienced operators, and it’s the kind of thing that turns a straightforward sealing job into a much bigger problem.

Driveway paver cleaning and patio paver cleaning are the most common requests, but pool deck surfaces and walkways are handled with the same process. We also offer paver restoration for surfaces that look too far gone to save in most cases, if the foundation is stable, restoration is possible and far less expensive than a full replacement.

Full paver replacement on Long Island typically runs $8,000 to $12,000 or more. Restoration costs a fraction of that. We also offer financing for homeowners who want the work done right without paying the full cost upfront.

How does salt air near the South Shore affect my pavers in Cedarhurst?

Salt air is one of the more underappreciated stressors for exterior hardscaping on Long Island’s South Shore. Cedarhurst sits just a few miles from Reynolds Channel and the Atlantic Ocean, which means airborne salt deposits land on paver surfaces consistently not just during storms, but year-round.

Over time, that salt accelerates the breakdown of sealer bonds, pulls minerals through the paver surface as efflorescence, and degrades joint sand faster than you’d see in inland Nassau County towns. The practical result is that South Shore properties generally need more vigilant maintenance than the standard every-2-to-3-year sealing cycle.

If your pavers haven’t been sealed recently and you’re seeing white deposits on the surface, discoloration, or joint sand that looks like it’s washing out, the salt air exposure is likely a contributing factor. A thorough cleaning, efflorescence treatment, polymeric sand installation, and fresh sealer addresses all of it and the sealed surface is far more resistant to future salt air damage than an untreated one.

For most Long Island properties, the general recommendation is to clean and reseal pavers every two to three years. On Cedarhurst’s South Shore, where salt air and coastal humidity add additional stress to paver surfaces, staying closer to that two-year mark is the smarter approach.

If you notice water soaking into the surface rather than beading up, visible fading, weed growth in the joints, or efflorescence appearing on the surface, those are signs the sealer has broken down and it’s time regardless of when the last job was done.

New pavers are a different situation. You should wait six to twelve months before the first sealing to allow the material to cure fully and let any efflorescence surface on its own. Sealing too early traps compounds in the material that need to work their way out first. After that initial waiting period, getting on a regular maintenance schedule is the most cost-effective way to protect the investment especially in a market like Cedarhurst where home values are high and the condition of your exterior surfaces directly affects how the property is perceived.

In most cases, yes restoration is possible and it’s significantly less expensive than replacement. The determining factor is the foundation. If the base beneath your pavers is still structurally sound, we can address cracking, discoloration, shifted or sunken pavers, weed-choked joints, and surface staining.

Full paver replacement on Long Island typically runs $8,000 to $12,000 or more. Restoration costs a fraction of that. The confusion usually comes from the appearance of the surface. Pavers that look severely damaged covered in stains, heavily discolored, with weeds growing through every joint often look far worse than they actually are structurally.

Once the cleaning, efflorescence treatment, polymeric sand installation, and sealing are complete, the transformation is significant enough that customers regularly describe the result as looking brand new. If you’re unsure whether your pavers are a restoration or replacement situation, an assessment before any work starts will give you a clear answer without any obligation.

The equipment gap is bigger than most homeowners expect. Consumer pressure washers available at hardware stores operate with cold water at pressures that can actually etch or streak paver surfaces if not used correctly. They also lack the heat needed to break down oil stains, algae, mold, and the biological growth that’s especially common on shaded Cedarhurst driveways and patios under mature trees.

Professional cleaning uses commercial-grade hot water systems that remove what cold water can’t touch. Beyond the equipment, there’s the preparation and product side. DIY sealing attempts frequently fail because the surface wasn’t cleaned thoroughly enough before application, the wrong sealer was chosen for the material, or the sealer was applied in conditions that trapped moisture underneath which causes cloudiness, peeling, or a white haze that’s difficult to reverse.

A professional paver cleaning and sealing job done correctly can last two to three years. A DIY attempt with the wrong product under the wrong conditions might fail within a single season, leaving you with a worse-looking surface than when you started.

Polymeric sand is a jointing material that contains binding agents when activated with water, it hardens and locks the joints between pavers. Regular sand, by contrast, washes out after a few heavy rains, leaving open joints that become entry points for weed seeds, ant tunneling, and moisture penetration.

In Cedarhurst, where South Shore weather brings significant rainfall and the freeze-thaw cycle puts repeated stress on joint integrity, regular sand simply doesn’t hold up long enough to be worth using. When professionally applied, polymeric sand can last up to ten years.

It stops weed growth at the source rather than at the surface weeds can’t take root in hardened joints the way they can in loose sand. It also stabilizes the pavers themselves, reducing the shifting and settling that comes from joint erosion over time. If you’ve been pulling weeds from your paver joints every spring and watching them come back within weeks, the issue isn’t the weeds it’s the sand underneath them. Polymeric sand is the fix that actually lasts.

Yes and in Cedarhurst’s real estate market, it’s one of the higher-return exterior improvements you can make before a listing. With average sale prices around $1.28 million and buyers at that price point scrutinizing every detail of a property, the condition of your driveway, front walkway, and patio carries real weight.

Well-maintained hardscaping has been shown to add 10 to 15 percent to home value, and degraded pavers stained, faded, with weeds pushing through the joints are the kind of detail that gives buyers negotiating leverage or causes them to move on entirely. A professional cleaning and sealing job costs a fraction of what a price reduction would cost you, and the visual impact is immediate.

Buyers form impressions before they walk through the front door. In a community like Cedarhurst, showing up to market with pavers that look neglected is a disadvantage you don’t need. A full paver cleaning and sealing job done before listing puts your property’s best face forward from the moment someone pulls up.
