Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Paver Restoration Services Nassau County
Brookville properties aren’t typical Long Island homes. Two-acre minimum zoning means long winding driveways, motor courts, expansive pool decks, and formal patio areas hardscape footprints that represent serious money. When those surfaces start showing algae stains, eroded joints, and weed growth, it’s not just a cosmetic issue. It’s a maintenance problem that compounds the longer you wait.
The clay-heavy soil that runs through much of Brookville’s North Shore terrain holds moisture far longer than the sandy soils you’d find on the South Shore. That moisture sits at the joint level, accelerates sand erosion, and intensifies the freeze-thaw damage that Nassau County winters deliver every year.
Add in the dense canopy shading most of Brookville’s interior roads Cedar Swamp Road, Chicken Valley Road, Wolver Hollow Road and you’ve got conditions that age pavers faster than the standard two-to-three-year maintenance window suggests. After a proper professional cleaning and sealing, your pavers stop absorbing moisture, resist weed root penetration, and hold their color and structure through the seasons. For a Brookville property, that’s not a luxury it’s the rational way to protect what you’ve already put into the ground.
Professional Paver Cleaning Brookville, NY
We’re a family-owned company based in West Babylon, NY, serving residential and commercial clients across Nassau and Suffolk counties. Our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience to every job which means we’ve seen what Long Island’s North Shore climate does to pavers across every material type, every property style, and every season.
That depth of experience matters in Brookville specifically. Estate-scale properties along the Oyster Bay Town corridor from Brookville proper through Old Brookville, Upper Brookville, and into the Jericho and Glen Head areas demand a level of care that general pressure washing companies simply aren’t set up to deliver. We work exclusively in paver cleaning, sealing, and restoration. That focus shows in the results.
We’re fully licensed and insured, adhering to New York’s construction regulations a non-negotiable for any property owner in a village where the average home value sits north of two million dollars. When you let someone work on your hardscape, you want to know exactly who’s accountable.
Brick Paver Cleaning Process Long Island
Every job starts with a thorough assessment of your pavers what material they are, what condition the joints are in, whether there’s efflorescence present, and how much structural shifting has occurred. For Brookville properties, that assessment pays particular attention to shading and moisture conditions. Pavers sitting under heavy canopy on clay-heavy soil need a different level of preparation than sun-exposed surfaces, and we adjust the approach accordingly.
From there, we do a deep clean using commercial-grade hot water equipment not the consumer pressure washers you’d rent from a hardware store. This removes embedded algae, moss, mold, organic staining, and the grime that builds up in joints over time. If efflorescence is present those white mineral deposits that show up on concrete and natural stone it gets treated and neutralized before anything else happens. Sealing over efflorescence locks it in permanently, and that’s not a mistake we make.
Once the surface is clean and fully dry, joint sand is addressed. In most cases, we install polymeric sand a product that hardens when activated and can hold joints stable for up to ten years, resisting weed infiltration and ant tunneling. Any shifted or uneven pavers are leveled. Then sealing is applied using a product matched to your specific paver material and finish preference.
Spring is the natural window for this work in Brookville after winter’s freeze-thaw cycles have done their damage and before summer entertaining season begins but fall scheduling before the first frost is a smart second option.

Driveway Patio Paver Cleaning Brookville
We handle concrete pavers, brick pavers, and natural stone including bluestone, travertine, marble, limestone, and granite. That last category matters in Brookville, where estate-quality installations frequently use premium natural stone rather than standard concrete pavers. Each material requires a different cleaning chemistry and a different sealer type. Applying the wrong product to a travertine pool deck or a bluestone walkway creates problems that are expensive to fix white haze, peeling, or a slippery surface. We select the right approach for the material in front of us, not a one-size-fits-all method.
Applications we cover include driveways, motor courts, patios, pool decks, and walkways. For Brookville’s larger properties, that often means a single job covers more square footage than a typical Long Island project which is exactly the kind of scale we’re equipped to handle. Commercial-grade equipment, an experienced crew, and a documented multi-step process mean the job gets done correctly regardless of how large the footprint is.
If your pavers are cracked, shifted, or structurally compromised, we offer restoration and repair services as part of the same engagement. The goal is always to restore rather than replace when the foundation is sound because full replacement on a Brookville-scale installation is a significant cost that professional maintenance can help you avoid for years to come.
How often should Brookville homeowners clean and reseal their pavers?
The standard recommendation for most Long Island properties is professional cleaning every one to two years and resealing every two to three years. For Brookville specifically, that window often compresses. The combination of dense hardwood canopy and clay-heavy North Shore soil means paver surfaces stay shaded and damp longer after rain events, which accelerates algae and moss colonization and breaks down joint sand faster than you’d see on a sun-exposed suburban lot.
If your driveway or patio runs under mature oak or maple trees which describes most of Brookville’s interior roads an annual cleaning inspection is worth scheduling even if a full reseal isn’t needed every year. Catching joint sand erosion early and addressing organic growth before it establishes root systems in the joints saves you from more involved restoration work down the line. The best way to know where you stand is a professional assessment at the start of the season.
What's the difference between paver cleaning and paver restoration?
Paver cleaning is the process of removing surface-level dirt, algae, moss, staining, and weed growth from the joints typically followed by resealing and polymeric sand reinstallation. Restoration goes a step further. It addresses structural issues: pavers that have shifted, sunk, or heaved due to ground movement, as well as damage from years of freeze-thaw cycling or root intrusion.
In Brookville, restoration calls tend to come from properties where the paver installation is ten to thirty years old and has never been professionally maintained. The clay-heavy soil underlying much of this area is prone to seasonal movement, which means pavers installed without adequate drainage preparation can shift over time. If your driveway has visible high and low spots, or individual pavers that rock underfoot, that’s a restoration situation not just a cleaning one. We handle both as part of the same service scope, so you’re not managing two separate contractors.
Can pavers really be restored, or do I need to replace them entirely?
In most cases, yes restoration is a legitimate alternative to replacement, and it’s the smarter financial call when the foundation is structurally sound. Full paver replacement on Long Island runs into significant cost territory, and for an estate-scale installation in Brookville a long driveway, a motor court, an expansive pool patio that number climbs considerably. Professional cleaning, resealing, polymeric sand reinstallation, and leveling of shifted pavers can add years of life to a surface that looks like it’s past its prime.
The honest caveat: if the base has failed meaning the compacted gravel and sand layers underneath have eroded, washed out, or settled unevenly no amount of surface treatment will fix the structural problem. That’s what the initial assessment is for. We evaluate the foundation before recommending a path forward. If restoration is the right answer, we’ll tell you. If it isn’t, we’ll tell you that too.
What is polymeric sand and why does it matter for my Brookville driveway?
Polymeric sand is a joint filler that contains binding agents when it gets wet and dries, it hardens into a firm, stable compound rather than staying loose like regular sand. Regular joint sand washes out after a few heavy rain events, leaving open gaps where weeds germinate, ants tunnel, and moisture penetrates directly to the base layer. In Brookville’s climate, where spring rains are heavy and the clay soil beneath doesn’t drain quickly, that erosion cycle happens faster than most homeowners realize.
Professionally installed polymeric sand can hold joints stable for up to ten years. It resists weed root penetration, reduces ant activity in the joints, and helps maintain the structural integrity of the paver surface between maintenance cycles. For a long driveway or motor court the kind of installation common on Brookville’s two-acre-plus lots stable joints mean less shifting, less heaving, and less likelihood of needing structural restoration work before the next scheduled maintenance visit.
Is it safe to seal natural stone pavers like bluestone or travertine?
Yes, but the sealer selection is critical. Natural stone is porous in a fundamentally different way than concrete, and the wrong sealer chemistry or the wrong application method can cause white haze, a cloudy film, or a slippery surface that’s both unsightly and dangerous around a pool deck. Solvent-based sealers that work well on concrete pavers can react poorly with certain natural stones. Water-based penetrating sealers are often the right choice for travertine and limestone, while bluestone may respond better to a different formulation depending on its finish.
This matters in Brookville because estate-quality installations in the village frequently use premium natural stone materials bluestone walkways, travertine pool surrounds, marble entry features. These aren’t materials where a trial-and-error approach is acceptable. We select the sealer based on the specific material, its porosity, its finish, and its exposure conditions. That material-specific approach is what separates a professional result from a costly mistake.
How do I know if my pavers need professional cleaning or just a quick rinse?
There’s a simple field test that tells you a lot: pour a small amount of water on your paver surface. If it beads up and rolls off, the sealer is still doing its job. If it soaks in within a few seconds, the sealer has worn down and the surface is now absorbing moisture which means it’s also absorbing staining, and it’s vulnerable to freeze-thaw damage through the coming winter.
Beyond the water test, look at the joints. If you see visible weed growth, if the sand level has dropped below the paver surface, or if you notice green or black organic growth on the face of the pavers, those are all signs that professional cleaning is overdue not optional. For Brookville properties with heavy tree canopy, organic growth tends to establish faster and more thoroughly than on open-lot properties, so waiting until something looks visibly bad usually means the problem is already well underway. An annual check-in even if it’s just an assessment keeps you ahead of the maintenance curve rather than reacting to it.
