Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Paver Restoration Services Bellport, NY
Bellport Village homes have a character that’s hard to replicate sea captain architecture, mature landscaping, historic lanes that have looked a certain way for over a century. When the walkway is stained, the driveway is mossy, or the patio joints are overrun with weeds, it doesn’t just look off. It looks like the one thing on the property that nobody got around to taking care of. Professional paver cleaning changes that, and the difference is immediate.
For Bellport specifically, the combination of coastal humidity from the bay and the dense canopy overhead creates conditions where organic growth moss, algae, mildew builds up faster than it does on open suburban properties inland. We see this year after year on Bellport properties. Cleaning with commercial-grade hot water systems actually removes that growth at the root level, not just from the surface.
Once the pavers are clean and properly sealed, you’re also protecting them from what comes next. Salt air from the Great South Bay doesn’t just stain it actively breaks down the sealer layer that keeps moisture out. Professionally sealed pavers can last 20 to 25 years. Unsealed pavers near the water often need replacement in under a decade. That gap matters when you’ve invested in a property worth what Bellport homes are worth.

Paver Cleaning Company Bellport, NY
We’re a family-owned company based in West Babylon, on the South Shore of Long Island about 25 miles west of Bellport along Sunrise Highway. Our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience cleaning, sealing, and restoring pavers across Nassau and Suffolk counties, including the coastal communities along the Great South Bay where salt air and humidity create conditions that most general pressure washing companies aren’t equipped to handle correctly.
That experience matters in Bellport specifically. The historic district, waterfront properties near the marina, and the older homes along Bellport Lane and South Country Road all require a level of care that goes beyond pointing a pressure washer at the ground. The right sealer for a coastal property, the right cleaning method for shaded pavers under old oak canopy, the right process for treating efflorescence before it gets sealed in permanently these are things that come from doing this work for decades on Long Island, not from reading a product label.
We’re fully licensed and insured under New York’s construction regulations, and every job is handled by trained technicians who are accountable by name.
Professional Paver Cleaning Process Bellport, NY
Every job starts with a thorough assessment of the pavers what material they are, what condition the joints are in, whether there’s efflorescence present, and whether any sections have shifted or sunk. For Bellport properties, this step often turns up more than just surface staining. The organic buildup from years of shade and coastal humidity tends to go deeper than it looks, and any efflorescence those white mineral deposits that appear on brick and concrete pavers needs to be treated and neutralized before anything else happens. If you seal over it, you lock it in permanently.
From there, we clean with commercial-grade hot water pressure systems. This isn’t the same equipment you’d rent from a hardware store. The heat and volume are what actually break down oil, algae, mold, and salt residue that cold water just moves around. Once the surface is clean and fully dry, the joints are addressed old sand is removed and replaced with polymeric sand, which hardens when activated and stays locked in place, resisting weed infiltration and ant tunneling for up to 10 years.
The final step is sealing. We select the sealer based on the paver material and the specific exposure conditions of the property. For homes near Bellport Bay, that coastal exposure factor directly influences which product we apply and how often the cycle should repeat typically every two to three years for properties this close to the water, rather than the longer interval that works for inland homes.
Brick and Driveway Paver Cleaning Bellport, NY
We work with concrete pavers, brick pavers, and natural stone including bluestone, travertine, marble, limestone, and granite. That range matters in a village like Bellport, where the housing stock spans early 19th-century sea captain homes with original stone and brick work, mid-century cottages, and newer waterfront construction. Each material has different porosity, different sealer requirements, and different tolerances for cleaning pressure. One approach doesn’t fit all of them.
Driveways, patios, walkways, and pool surrounds are all within scope. For the historic properties along Bellport Lane and near the village’s National Register district, we handle the process with particular care the goal is always restoration, not alteration. That means preserving the character of the surface while eliminating the staining, organic growth, and joint erosion that make it look neglected.
We also offer paver repair and leveling when sections have shifted or sunk which is common on older Bellport properties where freeze-thaw cycles have been working on foundations for decades. We serve both residential and commercial clients across Suffolk County, and the same professional-grade process applies to every job regardless of size. No named service tiers or packages the scope is built around what your specific surfaces actually need.
How does living near Bellport Bay affect how often I need to reseal my pavers?
Proximity to the water genuinely changes the maintenance timeline. For properties within a few miles of the Great South Bay which covers most of Bellport Village salt air from the bay and the Atlantic accelerates the breakdown of the sealer coating on your pavers. Where an inland Suffolk County homeowner might get four to five years out of a seal before needing to reapply, coastal properties in Bellport are typically looking at a two-to-three-year cycle to keep that protective layer intact and doing its job.
This isn’t about recommending more frequent service than you need. It’s about the chemistry of what salt air does to a sealer coating over time. Once the sealer degrades, moisture penetrates the paver surface, and from there the freeze-thaw cycle does the structural damage. Catching it on the right schedule keeps the pavers in good shape and avoids the far more expensive outcome of needing to repair or replace sections that have cracked and shifted from repeated water intrusion.
My pavers are under heavy tree shade does that make cleaning harder or less effective?
Shade is one of the biggest factors in how quickly pavers deteriorate visually, and it’s something we see constantly on Bellport properties. The old-growth trees throughout the village the oaks, maples, and other canopy species surrounding the historic homes create conditions where pavers stay damp longer after rain, dry out more slowly, and accumulate organic debris year-round. That combination is exactly what moss, algae, and mildew need to take hold and spread.
Standard cold-water pressure washing often moves the surface growth around without actually killing it, which is why it comes back quickly. Commercial-grade hot water systems are what actually break down organic growth at the root level and remove the biological material from the paver surface rather than just displacing it. After a proper hot-water cleaning, the pavers dry clean and the sealer has a surface it can actually bond to, which is what makes the result last rather than looking good for a few weeks and then reverting.
Can old or damaged pavers on a historic Bellport property actually be restored, or do they need to be replaced?
In most cases, restoration is possible and is almost always the better financial decision when the foundation underneath is still structurally sound. Full paver replacement on a Long Island property is a significant cost paver driveways and patios in the Bellport area represent an $11,000 to $22,000 investment when installed new. If the pavers look bad but the base is stable, professional cleaning, joint repair, and sealing can bring them back to a condition that genuinely looks like new work, not like old pavers that got cleaned.
For historic Bellport properties specifically, restoration also aligns with the character of the home. Replacing original or period-appropriate hardscape with new materials changes the look of the property in ways that many owners of historic homes prefer to avoid. The restoration approach treating efflorescence, replacing joint sand, leveling any shifted sections, and sealing with the appropriate product for the material preserves what’s there while eliminating the deterioration that made it look like it needed replacing in the first place.
What is polymeric sand, and why does it matter for pavers in Bellport?
Polymeric sand is a joint filler that contains binding agents when it gets wet, those agents activate and the sand hardens into a firm, cohesive material between your paver joints. Regular sand, by contrast, washes out after a few heavy rains, leaving joints open and loose. Once the joints are open, weeds take root, ants tunnel through, and the pavers themselves start to shift because there’s nothing holding them in lateral position.
In Bellport, the combination of coastal rain events, the village’s mature tree canopy dropping debris into joints, and the general humidity from the bay makes joint erosion happen faster than it does in drier, more inland areas. Professionally applied polymeric sand installed as part of the cleaning and sealing process locks those joints and can hold up for up to 10 years. It’s one of the more meaningful upgrades in the process because it addresses the structural side of paver maintenance, not just the visual side, and it’s something most homeowners don’t know exists until a professional brings it up.
When is the best time of year to have pavers cleaned and sealed in Bellport, NY?
Spring is the most natural window typically April through May because it follows the freeze-thaw season when the most damage accumulates and it falls right before the summer entertaining period when Bellport homeowners want their outdoor spaces looking their best. The village’s summer season, with the Gateway Playhouse running through the warmer months and the Whalehouse Point Ferry to Ho-Hum Beach operating from late May through early September, creates a real pre-summer deadline that many Bellport homeowners are working toward.
Fall is the second-best window, specifically September through early November, because sealing before winter gives the pavers a protective layer going into the freeze-thaw season. What you want to avoid is letting pavers go into winter with degraded or absent sealer, because that’s when moisture penetrates, freezes, and causes the cracking and joint displacement that’s expensive to fix. Summer can work for cleaning, but heat and humidity need to be managed carefully for the sealing step the pavers need to be completely dry before sealer is applied, which can be harder to guarantee in Bellport’s humid bay-side summers.
How do I know if my pavers need cleaning and sealing or something more involved like repair?
There are a few clear signals that tell you where you stand. If water soaks into the paver surface rather than beading up on top, the sealer is gone and the surface is unprotected. If you’re seeing white mineral deposits that’s efflorescence it means moisture has been moving through the pavers and depositing minerals on the surface. Weeds growing between joints mean the joint sand has eroded and the structural integrity of the paver field is starting to break down. Fading and discoloration are surface-level signs, but the ones above indicate the problem has moved past cosmetic.
If individual pavers have shifted, cracked, or sunk which is common on older Bellport properties where freeze-thaw cycles have been working on foundations for decades that’s where repair comes in before cleaning and sealing make sense. Sealing over a surface with structural issues just preserves the problem. The assessment at the start of every job is specifically designed to identify what’s needed before any work begins, so you’re not paying for a seal job on pavers that actually need leveling first. The honest answer is that most Bellport properties need some combination of cleaning, joint work, and sealing and the assessment tells you exactly where yours stands.
