Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Paver Restoration Services Bayville, NY
Bayville isn’t just near the water it’s surrounded by it. Long Island Sound to the north, Oyster Bay Harbor to the south. That dual-waterfront exposure means salt-laden air reaches your pavers from every direction, and it doesn’t let up. The result shows up as staining, biological growth, faded color, crumbling joint sand, and surfaces that look years older than they should.
The good news is that most of that damage is reversible. When your pavers are properly cleaned and sealed, surfaces actually shed water again, resist the algae and mold that thrive in Bayville’s humid coastal air, and hold their color through another round of freeze-thaw cycles.
For a community where outdoor living is the whole point the patios, the pool decks, the walkways down to the water that matters more than it would almost anywhere else on Long Island. Restoration also means you’re not looking at a replacement bill. Full paver replacement on Long Island runs well into the thousands, and in most cases it simply isn’t necessary. If the foundation is sound, cleaning and sealing gets you back to like-new results without tearing anything out.

Paver Cleaning Company Nassau County, NY
We are a family-owned company based on Long Island, fully licensed and insured, and serving Nassau County including Bayville and the surrounding North Shore communities as a core part of what we do. We’re not a general pressure washing company that added pavers to a menu. Pavers are all we do, and our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience to every project.
That depth of experience matters in a place like Bayville. The combination of salt air from the Sound, freeze-thaw cycles through winter, and the rolling terrain in the village’s western portion near the Harbor Hill moraine creates conditions that demand more than a surface rinse. We’ve worked in Nassau County long enough to know exactly what Long Island’s coastal environment does to concrete, brick, and natural stone and what it takes to actually fix it.
We’re also fully licensed and insured, which isn’t just a formality. On a property worth what Bayville homes are worth, you want a contractor who’s accountable. That’s what we are.
Professional Paver Cleaning Process Long Island
Every job starts with an honest assessment of what’s going on with your pavers. In Bayville, that often means identifying salt deposits, efflorescence the white mineral residue that surfaces when moisture moves through concrete and biological growth that’s taken hold in the joints and on the surface. We look at the paver material, the condition of the joint sand, and whether any sections have shifted or settled before we touch anything.
From there, we clean using commercial-grade hot water systems. This isn’t a consumer pressure washer from a hardware store. The heat and volume of professional equipment is what actually breaks down oil stains, removes algae root systems, and draws out the mineral deposits that have worked their way into the surface. Cold water rinses the top hot water cleans it.
After cleaning, we address the joints. If your polymeric sand has washed out which happens fast in a coastal village that catches nor’easters and steady onshore winds we replace it. Polymeric sand hardens when activated, locks the joints, and resists the kind of erosion that regular sand simply can’t handle here.
Once everything is clean and dry, we apply the appropriate sealer for your paver type and finish preference. Spring is typically the best window for this work in Bayville after winter’s freeze-thaw damage has surfaced and before summer entertaining season begins but fall sealing before the cold sets in is equally worthwhile for protecting against the next round of coastal winter conditions.
Brick and Patio Paver Cleaning Bayville, NY
Whether you have a concrete paver driveway off Bayville Avenue, a bluestone patio on the harbor side, a brick walkway leading to the water, or a natural stone pool deck that sees heavy summer use, the cleaning and sealing approach needs to match the material. Concrete, brick, travertine, bluestone, marble, limestone, granite each one has different porosity, different sealer compatibility, and different vulnerabilities to Bayville’s coastal environment. We work with all of them and tailor the treatment accordingly.
Driveway paver cleaning is one of the most common requests we get in this area. Driveways in Bayville take the full force of salt air year-round, and they’re often the first surface to show efflorescence, staining, and joint erosion. Pool deck cleaning and sealing is the other high-demand application a pool deck that’s slippery with algae growth or cracked from freeze-thaw damage is both an eyesore and a safety concern, and it’s exactly the kind of surface that responds well to professional restoration.
We also handle paver repair for sections that have shifted, sunk, or cracked leveling and re-laying pavers where needed before sealing, so the finished result is structurally sound, not just clean on the surface. Financing is available if you’d rather spread the cost out, and we serve both residential and commercial properties throughout Nassau County.
How does living near Long Island Sound affect how often I should seal my Bayville pavers?
The general recommendation for Long Island is to reseal pavers every two to three years, but in Bayville, you’re dealing with conditions that put more stress on a sealer than most other areas. Salt air from Long Island Sound and Oyster Bay Harbor deposits corrosive minerals on paver surfaces and works its way into the sealer film over time, breaking it down faster than it would in an inland community.
Add in the freeze-thaw cycles that hit Nassau County’s North Shore through winter, and a sealer that might last three years in Hicksville might show wear in two years on a Sound-facing property in Bayville. A practical way to check is the water test: pour a small amount of water on your pavers. If it beads up, your sealer is still doing its job. If it soaks in, you’re overdue. For properties on the northern side of the village with direct Sound exposure, erring toward the two-year end of the range is the smarter approach.
What is efflorescence and why do I keep seeing white stains on my pavers?
Efflorescence is what happens when water moves through concrete or brick, picks up soluble salts and minerals from inside the material, and then deposits them on the surface as the water evaporates. What you’re left with is a chalky white haze or streaking that makes pavers look dirty even right after cleaning. It’s extremely common in coastal environments like Bayville, where moisture is almost always present and the combination of salt air and ground moisture gives those minerals a constant pathway to the surface.
The important thing to understand is that efflorescence cannot simply be sealed over. If you apply sealer on top of an active efflorescence problem, you lock the deposits in place and the haze becomes permanent. The correct approach is to treat and neutralize the efflorescence first, then clean thoroughly, and then seal. That’s the sequence we follow on every job.
Can you restore pavers that look too far gone, or is replacement the only option at that point?
In most cases, restoration is still the right move even when pavers look seriously neglected. The question isn’t really how bad the surface looks; it’s whether the foundation underneath is still structurally sound. Staining, biological growth, fading, efflorescence, and even moderate cracking are all surface-level or joint-level issues that professional cleaning, repair, and sealing can address. If the base is stable, the pavers themselves are usually worth saving.
Full paver replacement on Long Island is a significant undertaking that runs well into the thousands of dollars, and in the majority of cases we assess, it simply isn’t necessary. We’ve restored driveways and patios that homeowners were convinced needed to come out entirely and the results after cleaning, re-sanding, and sealing made it clear that replacement would have been an expensive mistake. The honest answer is that we’ll tell you upfront if something genuinely needs to be replaced rather than restored.
Why do weeds keep growing back between my pavers no matter what I do?
If you’re pulling weeds or spraying herbicide and they keep coming back, the issue isn’t the weeds it’s the joint sand. Standard sand washes out over time, and in a coastal village like Bayville that catches nor’easters and steady rain off the Sound, it can erode faster than you’d expect. Once the joints are shallow or empty, weed seeds find an easy place to germinate, and the cycle starts over regardless of what you spray on them.
The fix is polymeric sand. Unlike regular sand, polymeric sand contains binding agents that activate when wet and then harden as they cure, locking the joints and creating a surface that weed roots can’t easily penetrate. It also resists ant tunneling, which is another common joint problem. When professionally installed, polymeric sand can last up to ten years a significant upgrade from standard sand that might wash out after a few heavy storms.
Is there a difference between professional paver cleaning and just renting a pressure washer?
There is, and it’s not a small one. Consumer pressure washers including the higher-end rental units operate with cold water and limited volume. They can rinse surface dirt and loose debris, but they can’t remove oil stains that have penetrated the paver, break down the root systems of algae and mold embedded in the surface, or draw out the salt deposits and minerals that accumulate in a coastal environment like Bayville.
Professional hot water systems are a different category of equipment. The heat is what makes the difference it emulsifies grease, kills biological growth at the root, and opens the pores of the paver material so cleaning agents can do their job properly. This level of surface preparation is also what makes sealing last. Sealer applied over an inadequately cleaned surface bonds poorly and fails early, which is why so many DIY sealing attempts don’t hold up through a single Long Island winter.
Do you work on commercial properties in Bayville, or is this service just for homeowners?
We work on both residential and commercial properties throughout Nassau County, and Bayville is no exception. The village has waterfront restaurants, marinas, and commercial properties along Bayville Avenue and the shoreline that deal with the same salt air, biological growth, and coastal wear as residential hardscapes plus the added demands of heavy foot traffic, outdoor dining, and grease from food service environments.
For commercial clients, the practical considerations are a bit different scheduling around business hours, working in sections to minimize disruption, and ensuring surfaces are safe and presentable for customers as quickly as possible. We’ve handled commercial paver work across Nassau County and understand how to manage a job that needs to be done efficiently without cutting corners on the process. If you manage or own a commercial property in Bayville and your hardscapes need attention, the process starts the same way as any residential job: an honest assessment of what’s there and a clear explanation of what it takes to fix it.
