Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Paver Cleaning Services Bayport NY
When pavers go untreated on a South Shore property, the damage compounds faster than most homeowners expect. Salt-laden bay breezes deposit chloride residue on your surfaces year-round, breaking down sealer coatings well ahead of the standard timeline. By the time your pavers look visibly bad, the protection has usually been gone for a while.
What you get after a professional cleaning and restoration isn’t just a cleaner driveway or patio it’s a surface that’s actually protected again. The staining clears. The algae and mildew that thrive in Bayport’s humid coastal air get removed down to the root. The joint sand that’s been washing out every time it rains gets replaced with polymeric sand that locks in and holds for years.
For Bayport homeowners with waterfront or near-waterfront properties, this matters even more. Pool decks, bay-facing patios, and hardscaped outdoor living areas face full southern sun exposure, pool chemical splash, and salt air all season long. Getting those surfaces cleaned and sealed before Memorial Day means you’re not spending your summer looking at algae-covered pavers or worrying about slippery footing around the pool.
Professional Paver Cleaning Long Island
Paver Savers is a family-owned company based in West Babylon, about 15 miles west of Bayport along the same South Shore corridor. We’ve been working on Long Island hardscapes long enough to know that a paver job in Bayport is not the same as a job in an inland community. The salt air, the sandy soils, the freeze-thaw cycles that hit South Shore properties hard every winter our team has seen all of it, on properties just like yours.
Nearly 50 years of combined experience means we’ve worked on every paver material you’re likely to have: concrete, brick, natural stone, bluestone, travertine. We know the difference between a paver that needs a good cleaning and one that needs structural attention before anything else happens. We’re fully licensed and insured, compliant with New York’s construction regulations, and we’re not a franchise or a multi-service company doing pavers on the side. This is what we do.
Paver Restoration Process Bayport NY
It starts with an honest assessment. Before any equipment comes out, we look at what you’re working with the paver material, the condition of the joints, whether there’s efflorescence present, whether any pavers have shifted or sunk, and what the surface has been exposed to. For Bayport properties near the bay, that coastal exposure assessment matters. A sealer that performs well on an inland Suffolk County driveway may not be the right call for a pool deck three blocks from the water.
Once we know what we’re dealing with, we deep clean using commercial-grade hot water systems not the consumer pressure washers you can rent from a hardware store. Hot water removes oil, grease, mold, and algae at a level that cold water simply can’t match. If there’s efflorescence those white mineral deposits that show up on older brick and natural stone we treat and neutralize it before anything else happens. Sealing over efflorescence locks it in permanently, and that’s not a mistake you want to make on a historic Bayport property.
After cleaning, we replace worn joint sand with polymeric sand, level any shifted pavers, and then apply the sealer. The whole process is explained to you before we start, and nothing happens without your sign-off. Spring is the natural window for this work on Long Island after the freeze-thaw cycle has done its damage and before summer entertaining season begins and our schedule fills up, so earlier is better.

Brick Paver Cleaning Bayport Suffolk County
Bayport’s housing stock is more varied than most people realize. You’ve got Victorian-era homes on Gillette Avenue and Bayport Avenue with original brick hardscaping that’s been there for decades. You’ve got colonials and capes with concrete paver driveways. You’ve got waterfront properties with natural stone pool decks and bay-facing patios. Each of those materials responds differently to cleaning agents, sealer chemistry, and pressure settings and using the wrong approach on any of them causes damage that’s hard or impossible to reverse.
Paver Savers handles concrete pavers, brick pavers, and all natural stone types including bluestone, travertine, marble, limestone, and granite. For each material, the process is adjusted accordingly. That means the right sealer finish wet-look, natural, or matte for the material and the application. It means the right pressure setting so that original brick on an older Bayport home doesn’t get etched or stripped. It means checking whether new pavers need more time before sealing, or whether older ones need structural work before surface treatment makes sense.
We also offer paver repair releveling shifted or sunk pavers, replacing damaged ones as part of the same visit when needed. Financing is available for larger projects, so if you’re looking at a full driveway restoration or a complete pool deck treatment, there’s no reason to put it off another season while the damage keeps building.
How often should Bayport homeowners clean and reseal their pavers near the bay?
The standard recommendation for Long Island is every two to three years for sealing, with cleaning ideally done on a similar cycle or more frequently if you’re seeing visible buildup. But for Bayport specifically and really for any property within a few miles of the Great South Bay that timeline leans toward the shorter end. Salt air is corrosive. It works on the sealer coating itself, not just the paver surface underneath. A sealer that might hold up for four or five years on an inland property can degrade in two to three years on a coastal South Shore home like Bayport.
The practical test is simpler than any calendar: pour a small amount of water on your pavers. If it beads up and sits on the surface, your sealer is still doing its job. If it soaks in immediately, the sealer is gone and your pavers are fully exposed. Given Bayport’s coastal exposure, if it’s been more than two years since your last seal or if you’re not sure it was ever done professionally it’s worth getting an assessment before another winter cycle runs through it.
Can really old or heavily stained pavers actually be restored, or do they need replacing?
In most cases, yes restoration is possible, and it’s almost always the smarter financial call when the foundation underneath is still structurally sound. The pavers themselves are rarely the problem. What you’re usually dealing with is years of accumulated staining, biological growth, failed or missing sealer, and eroded joint sand. All of that is treatable. What can’t be undone easily is structural failure a base that’s shifted, sunken, or compromised by water infiltration over many years.
This is why the assessment step matters. Before we recommend cleaning and sealing, we look at whether there are underlying structural issues that need to be addressed first. For Bayport properties with older paver installations particularly the historic brick hardscaping on some of the hamlet’s oldest streets that evaluation is especially important. Restoring a surface that has a structural problem underneath just delays the inevitable. But when the base is solid, even pavers that look like they’re past the point of no return often come back looking significantly better than homeowners expect. Full paver replacement on Long Island runs $8,000 to $12,000 or more. Professional restoration is a fraction of that cost.
What is polymeric sand and why does it matter for paver joints?
Regular joint sand the kind that’s typically installed when pavers are first laid washes out. A few heavy rainstorms and it’s gone, leaving open joints that weeds move into immediately. Once weed roots get established between pavers, they cause structural damage by forcing joints apart and destabilizing the surface. It’s not just a cosmetic issue.
Polymeric sand is different. It contains binding agents that activate when water is applied, causing the sand to harden and lock in place. It resists erosion, blocks weed infiltration, and holds up against ant tunneling. When professionally installed, it can last up to 10 years. For Bayport homeowners who have been pulling weeds from their paver joints every summer, or whose driveways and patios are showing visible joint erosion after years of South Shore rain, polymeric sand installation is usually one of the most impactful parts of the restoration process. It’s included as part of our standard cleaning and sealing work when the joints need it not offered as an optional add-on that gets skipped to save time.
Is paver cleaning and sealing something I can do myself to save money?
You can attempt it, and plenty of homeowners do. The honest answer is that the results usually don’t last, and in some cases they make the situation worse. The core issue is surface preparation. A consumer pressure washer doesn’t have the heat output to remove the organic buildup algae, mold, mildew that accumulates on pavers, especially on shaded or north-facing surfaces in a humid coastal environment like Bayport. If you seal over a surface that isn’t fully clean and dry, you trap moisture under the sealer. That causes cloudiness, peeling, and a hazy appearance that’s difficult to correct without stripping the sealer entirely and starting over.
The sealer selection itself is another common point of failure. Solvent-based and water-based sealers are not interchangeable, and using the wrong product for your specific paver material or applying it in the wrong weather conditions leads to adhesion failure. The DIY time commitment is also real surface prep, application, and drying time combined can run 10 to 18 hours for a mid-sized driveway. For most Bayport homeowners, the combination of equipment limitations, product complexity, and time investment makes professional service the practical choice particularly when the goal is results that actually hold up through a South Shore winter.
How long does the paver cleaning and sealing process take, and when should I schedule it?
For a typical residential job a driveway, patio, or pool deck the cleaning and sealing process usually takes one to two days depending on the size of the area and what the surface needs. The cleaning and any repair work happen first, and then the pavers need to be completely dry before sealer is applied. Attempting to seal over damp pavers is one of the most common causes of sealer failure, so we don’t rush that step regardless of scheduling pressure.
Timing-wise, spring is the best window for Bayport homeowners. After Long Island’s freeze-thaw cycle finishes, you can see exactly what the winter did to your pavers shifted joints, new staining, eroded sand and address it before the outdoor living season starts. If you’re planning to use your patio, pool deck, or driveway heavily from May through October, getting the work done in March or April means you’re starting the season with surfaces that are clean, protected, and ready. Our schedule fills up in spring, so reaching out early avoids the wait. Fall is a secondary window sealing before winter adds meaningful protection against salt and freeze-thaw damage, which is especially relevant for Bayport properties with direct coastal exposure.
Does Paver Savers offer financing for larger paver cleaning and restoration jobs in Bayport?
Yes. Financing is available for projects where the scope warrants it full driveway restorations, complete pool deck treatments, or larger patio and walkway jobs that involve both structural repair and surface restoration. For Bayport homeowners looking at a comprehensive project on a waterfront or near-waterfront property, financing means you can do the full job correctly now rather than doing it in phases or deferring it while the damage continues.
The reason this matters practically: deferred maintenance in a coastal environment doesn’t stay static. Every winter that passes with exposed, unsealed pavers particularly on South Shore properties where salt air is already accelerating surface degradation adds to the repair scope. A job that’s a straightforward cleaning and sealing today can become a more involved structural repair job after another season or two of freeze-thaw cycling on compromised joints. Financing removes the reason to wait.
