Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Holbrook

Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!

Driveway Paver Cleaning Suffolk County

What Your Baywood Pavers Look Like When the Work Is Done Right

There’s a difference between pavers that got rinsed off and pavers that were actually cleaned. When the job is done properly, the color comes back, the joints are tight, and the surface doesn’t look like it’s been through fifteen Long Island winters even if it has. That’s what professional cleaning and sealing delivers, and it’s not subtle.

For Baywood homeowners specifically, the conditions working against your hardscape are layered. The sandy South Shore soil underneath your pavers shifts more than people expect, which erodes joint sand faster and opens up gaps that let weeds take hold. Add the coastal moisture drifting in from the Great South Bay, and you’ve got salt air quietly penetrating unsealed surfaces year after year softening the material, accelerating freeze-thaw cracking, and turning what looked fine last spring into something noticeably worse by fall.

Sealing doesn’t just make pavers look better. It creates a barrier that keeps that moisture out, locks the joint sand in place, and stops the cycle of gradual damage before it becomes a structural problem. The pavers you already have can last 20 to 25 years with the right maintenance. Without it, you’re looking at replacement in 7 to 10 and full replacement on Long Island runs well into five figures.

Paver Cleaning Company Near Bay Shore

Nearly 50 Years of Experience Serving Baywood and the South Shore

We’re a family-owned company based in West Babylon a few miles west of Baywood along the same South Shore corridor. Our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience in paver cleaning, sealing, and restoration, and we work exclusively on Long Island. That means the conditions we know best the freeze-thaw cycles, the coastal salt air, the sandy soil common across the Town of Islip are the exact conditions your Baywood hardscape is up against.

We’re fully licensed and insured, which matters more than it might seem in a trade where the barrier to entry is low and unlicensed operators are common. Every technician on the job is trained, accountable by name, and there to do the work correctly not quickly. We serve both residential and commercial clients across Nassau and Suffolk counties, and financing is available for homeowners who want the work done without a large upfront cost.

If you’ve had a bad experience with a paver company before, you’re not alone. The difference here is in how the job gets done step by step, with the right equipment, and no shortcuts.

Professional Paver Restoration Process Baywood NY

No Mystery This Is Exactly What Happens to Your Pavers

It starts with an assessment. Before anything gets wet, we evaluate the surface what type of pavers you have, what condition the joints are in, whether there’s efflorescence buildup, how much shifting has occurred, and what the base looks like. In Baywood, sandy soil means shifting is common, so this step matters more than it does in areas with more stable ground.

From there, the cleaning begins using commercial-grade hot water systems not the kind of pressure washer you rent from a hardware store. Hot water reaches temperatures that cold water can’t match, which is the only way to fully remove embedded oil stains, kill algae and moss at the root, and lift the mineral deposits that accumulate on South Shore hardscapes over time. Once the surface is clean and completely dry, any shifted pavers get leveled, the old joint sand gets removed, and professional-grade polymeric sand is installed in its place. Unlike regular sand, polymeric sand hardens when activated and can hold for up to ten years a meaningful difference for Baywood’s sandy, moisture-prone conditions.

Sealing is the final step, applied only after the surface is fully dry and the polymeric sand has set. The right sealer depends on your paver material and the finish you want. Spring and early fall are the best windows for sealing on Long Island, and we’ll tell you honestly if the timing or conditions aren’t right before starting.

Paver Cleaning and Sealing Services Baywood

Every Step Handled From Sandy Joints to Sealed Surface

We handle the full scope of what your hardscape actually needs not just a surface wash and a coat of sealer. That includes deep cleaning of concrete, brick, and natural stone pavers, efflorescence treatment for mineral deposits that have built up over time, weed removal from joints, leveling of shifted pavers, polymeric sand installation, and sealing with high-quality products in a range of finishes. Residential driveways, patios, walkways, and pool decks are all within scope, as are commercial hardscapes.

For Baywood properties specifically, the combination of high daily driveway traffic this is one of the most car-heavy communities in the country, with nearly 40% of households running four or more vehicles and the sandy, coastal-adjacent soil underneath means the structural side of the job matters as much as the cosmetic side. Polymeric sand isn’t optional here; it’s the right answer for the conditions underfoot. And because many Baywood homes were built in the postwar decades and have had hardscapes added or updated since, there’s a good chance your pavers are older than you think and have been through more freeze-thaw cycles than they show on the surface.

If you’re not sure whether your pavers need cleaning, restoration, or something more involved, that’s exactly what the initial assessment is for. We’ll tell you what we find and if restoration isn’t the right call, we’ll tell you that too.

How often should I have my pavers cleaned and sealed in Baywood, NY?

For most Long Island homeowners, cleaning every one to two years and sealing every two to three years is the right rhythm. In Baywood, a few local factors push toward the more frequent end of that range. The coastal moisture from the Great South Bay accelerates algae and mildew growth on paver surfaces, particularly on shaded driveways under the neighborhood’s tree canopy. Sandy soil also means joint sand erodes faster than it would in more stable ground, so the joints need attention sooner than homeowners often expect.

The easiest way to check whether it’s time is to pour a small amount of water on your pavers. If it soaks in rather than beading up, the sealer has broken down and the surface is exposed. Visible efflorescence that white, chalky residue is another sign. Weeds pushing through the joints mean the polymeric sand has failed and needs to be replaced. Any of those conditions means it’s time to call, regardless of when the last service was done.

In most cases, yes. Staining, fading, and surface discoloration are almost always reversible with professional cleaning even on pavers that have been neglected for years. The key variable isn’t how bad the surface looks; it’s whether the foundation underneath is still structurally sound. If the base is stable and the pavers themselves aren’t cracked through, restoration is almost always the right move financially and practically.

This matters in Baywood because a lot of the homes here have hardscapes that were installed during the paver boom of the 1990s and early 2000s. Those driveways and patios are now 20 to 30 years old in some cases, and they can look rough. But rough-looking and structurally compromised are two different things. Full paver replacement on Long Island runs into serious money well beyond what a professional cleaning and sealing job costs. If you’re looking at your driveway thinking it’s beyond saving, it’s worth getting an honest assessment before assuming replacement is the only option.

Polymeric sand is a specially formulated joint filler that, once activated with water, hardens and locks into place between your pavers. Regular sand the kind that comes standard with most paver installations washes out after a few heavy rains, leaving gaps that weeds and ants move into quickly. Polymeric sand resists erosion, inhibits weed growth, and can hold for up to ten years when professionally installed.

For Baywood driveways, it’s not really optional. The sandy South Shore soil beneath most Baywood properties shifts more than clay-heavy soils do, which means the base moves and the joints open up faster than average. Combine that with Long Island’s spring rainstorms washing out whatever sand remains, and you end up with joints that are structurally compromised well before the pavers themselves show wear. A driveway running four or more vehicles daily which is common in this neighborhood puts additional stress on those joints. Polymeric sand is the right material for these conditions.

Pressure washing done correctly is safe and necessary. The issue is that most DIY pressure washing and some lower-end contractors uses consumer-grade equipment at the wrong pressure settings, which can etch the surface, leave streaking patterns, or blast out joint sand without cleaning the pores underneath. The result looks cleaned but isn’t, and the damage to the surface and joints is real.

Professional paver cleaning uses commercial-grade hot water systems with rotary surface cleaners designed specifically for paver work. The hot water matters because it’s the only way to fully break down embedded oil stains common on any Baywood driveway running multiple vehicles and to kill algae and moss at the root rather than just knocking back the visible growth. Cold water pressure washing moves the problem around; hot water removes it. Our equipment is calibrated for paver surfaces specifically, so you get a thorough clean without etching, streaking, or joint damage.

Cleaning addresses the surface removing dirt, stains, algae, mildew, and organic buildup that has accumulated over time. It’s maintenance, and it should happen regularly. Restoration goes deeper. It includes cleaning, but also addresses structural issues: leveling pavers that have shifted or sunk, replacing failed joint sand with polymeric sand, treating efflorescence that has built up over multiple seasons, and resealing with the appropriate product for the material and condition.

Most Baywood homeowners who haven’t had their pavers professionally serviced in several years need restoration, not just cleaning even if the surface looks like a cleaning problem. The freeze-thaw cycles Long Island goes through every winter, combined with Baywood’s sandy soil and coastal moisture exposure, tend to create joint and structural issues that aren’t always obvious from the surface. An assessment will tell you which category your hardscape falls into. If it’s restoration, the process takes longer and involves more steps but the result lasts significantly longer than a surface clean alone.

Yes, we offer financing. Long Island’s cost of living is genuinely high Baywood’s cost of living index sits nearly 50% above the national average, and property taxes in this area average over $8,700 a year. A professional paver cleaning, polymeric sand installation, and sealing job is a real expense, and not everyone wants to absorb it all at once on top of everything else that comes with owning a home here.

Financing makes it possible to get the work done properly with the right equipment, the right materials, and the right process without waiting until the damage gets worse or the cost goes up. Delaying paver maintenance in a coastal-adjacent, freeze-thaw climate like Baywood’s tends to turn a maintenance job into a restoration job, and a restoration job into a replacement conversation. None of those outcomes are cheaper than acting now. If upfront cost is what’s holding you back, ask about financing options when you reach out for a quote.
