Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Paver Cleaning Services Nassau County
Bay Park isn’t like the rest of Nassau County. You’re sitting on Hewlett Bay at just under 10 feet above sea level, and that means your driveway, patio, and pool deck are dealing with something most paver companies never factor in continuous salt air off the water, high bay humidity, and a freeze-thaw cycle that hits harder on surfaces already softened by coastal exposure. The result shows up as fading color, white mineral deposits on the surface, joint sand that keeps washing away, and weeds that come back no matter how many times you pull them.
After professional cleaning and sealing from us, those problems stop compounding. Salt deposits get removed before they’re sealed in. Joints get packed with polymeric sand that actually holds up through storm drainage cycles not regular sand that flushes out after the next heavy rain. A quality sealer bonds correctly to a properly prepared surface and lasts the way it’s supposed to.
For Bay Park homeowners who renovated or replaced outdoor hardscapes after Sandy, this is how you protect what you already paid to rebuild. The pavers you put in between 2013 and 2020 are now old enough to need real maintenance and the right maintenance now is a fraction of what replacement costs later.
Professional Paver Cleaning Long Island
We’re a family-owned company based in West Babylon a South Shore community that sits roughly 15 miles east of Bay Park along the same Southern State Parkway corridor you use every day. Our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience in paver cleaning, sealing, and restoration across Nassau and Suffolk counties. That experience means the people showing up to your Bay Park property have seen every version of what coastal climate does to hardscapes, and we know how to handle it.
We’re fully licensed and insured, adhering to New York’s construction regulations. In a service category where unlicensed operators are common, that matters. Bay Park homeowners who dealt with contractors in the post-Sandy rebuild years know exactly what the difference looks like. We serve both residential and commercial clients, and financing options are available for homeowners who want the work done now without a large upfront cost.
Brick Paver Cleaning Bay Park, NY
The first thing that happens when we arrive is an honest assessment of what you’re working with. In Bay Park, that assessment almost always includes checking for salt deposits on the surface, evaluating the condition of the joint sand, and identifying any efflorescence the white mineral buildup that’s especially common in environments with high moisture cycling, like anything sitting close to Hewlett Bay.
These things have to be addressed before anything else happens, because sealing over a dirty or mineral-compromised surface locks the problem in permanently. From there, we use commercial-grade hot water equipment not the consumer pressure washers you’d rent from a home improvement store. Hot water reaches oil stains, mold, algae, and salt deposits that cold water can’t touch, and the commercial rotary surface cleaner applies even pressure without etching or streaking the paver face.
Once the surface is clean and fully dry, we assess joint sand. In most Bay Park properties, especially those in or near flood zone areas where tidal drainage runs through the neighborhood, regular sand has already eroded. We install polymeric sand as the replacement it hardens when activated and can hold for up to 10 years, which is what you actually need in this environment.
Sealing comes last, after everything else is right. The sealer type is matched to your paver material concrete, brick, or natural stone and applied in the appropriate finish. No paver cleaning permit is required in Bay Park or anywhere in the Town of Hempstead for this type of maintenance work, so there’s nothing on your end to arrange before the job starts.

Paver Restoration Services Bay Park, NY
We handle the full range of what Bay Park outdoor surfaces typically need paver cleaning, paver sealing, paver restoration, polymeric sand installation, efflorescence treatment, and paver repair for shifted or sunken sections. These aren’t offered as separate upsells; they’re part of a complete process that gets evaluated and recommended based on what your specific surface actually needs, not a one-size package applied to every driveway.
For Bay Park homeowners, a few of these services come up more often than they would in inland Nassau County communities. Efflorescence treatment is one the moisture cycling that comes with bayfront living accelerates the mineral migration that causes white deposits on paver surfaces. Polymeric sand replacement is another properties near the canal streets and flood zone areas of Bay Park see joint sand erosion at a rate that makes regular sand a losing battle. And for homes that were rebuilt or renovated after Superstorm Sandy, paver restoration is often the right answer when surfaces have aged visibly but the foundation underneath is still structurally sound.
Full paver replacement on Long Island runs into the tens of thousands of dollars. Restoration through us costs a fraction of that and, in most cases, delivers results that are visually indistinguishable from new. We work with concrete pavers, brick pavers, and natural stone including bluestone, travertine, marble, and limestone across driveways, patios, walkways, and pool decks throughout Bay Park and the broader Nassau County area.
How does living near Hewlett Bay affect how often I should seal my pavers?
More often than the standard recommendation and with more attention to surface preparation before the sealer goes on. The general industry guideline for Long Island pavers is sealing every two to three years. But in Bay Park, the combination of continuous salt air off Hewlett Bay, high coastal humidity, and the freeze-thaw cycle that hits harder on salt-softened surfaces means a sealant bond can break down faster than it would on the same pavers in an inland Nassau County community.
If you’re noticing the surface looks dull, water is soaking in rather than beading, or you’re seeing white mineral deposits forming, those are signs the sealer has already failed regardless of when it was last applied. The other thing that matters in Bay Park specifically is what happens before the sealer goes on. Salt deposits and efflorescence have to be chemically treated and fully removed first. If a sealer is applied over mineral contamination, it traps it in and the surface will look worse, not better. That’s a step some companies skip, and it’s why some Bay Park homeowners have had sealing jobs that looked cloudy or hazy after the fact.
Can pavers be restored after years of salt air exposure and storm flooding?
In most cases, yes and it’s worth finding out before you assume replacement is the only option. The pavers themselves are often in better shape than they look. Salt air fades color and leaves surface deposits, but it doesn’t necessarily compromise the structural integrity of the paver or the base underneath. Storm flooding and tidal drainage events do the most damage to joint sand and, over time, can cause pavers to shift slightly but that’s a repair issue, not a replacement issue, as long as the base is still stable.
Our restoration process starts with an honest assessment of what’s actually going on beneath the surface discoloration. If the foundation is sound, the restoration path deep cleaning, efflorescence treatment, polymeric sand installation, leveling any shifted sections, and sealing can return heavily weathered pavers to a condition that looks close to new. For Bay Park homeowners who already paid to rebuild outdoor hardscapes after Sandy, the restoration-versus-replacement question has a real dollar answer: full paver replacement on Long Island runs into the tens of thousands of dollars. Restoration is a fraction of that cost.
What is polymeric sand and why does it matter for Bay Park driveways and patios?
Polymeric sand is a joint filler that contains binding agents when it gets wet and then dries, it hardens into a firm, stable material that resists erosion, blocks weed growth, and prevents the kind of ant tunneling that destabilizes paver joints over time. Regular sand does none of that. It washes out with rain, and in Bay Park’s flood zone environment where tidal drainage events and storm runoff regularly move through the neighborhood regular sand doesn’t just erode slowly, it can get flushed out entirely after a single significant weather event.
When professionally installed, polymeric sand can last up to 10 years. That’s not a small difference from regular sand that needs attention every season. For Bay Park homeowners who are tired of watching weeds grow back between every joint or noticing pavers that wobble slightly when you walk on them, polymeric sand is the fix not just a temporary improvement. It’s also not something that translates well as a DIY project, because the activation process and joint depth requirements have to be done correctly for it to hold.
Is it too late to clean and seal pavers that haven't been maintained in several years?
Rarely. The more accurate question is whether the foundation underneath is still stable and in most cases, it is. Years of surface neglect show up as staining, color fade, weed infiltration, and efflorescence, but those are surface and joint problems, not structural ones. A thorough professional cleaning with commercial hot water equipment can remove years of built-up salt deposits, algae, mold, and organic staining that consumer pressure washers can’t reach.
Efflorescence the white mineral deposits that are especially common on Bay Park properties due to the high moisture environment gets treated chemically before the cleaning, not after. The one thing that makes a meaningful difference here is whether you catch it before the damage reaches the base. Weeds that have been growing in joints for years develop root systems that physically displace pavers and compromise the compacted base underneath. If that’s happened, some leveling and repair work may be needed before sealing. But that’s still a restoration job, not a replacement job, and it’s still significantly less expensive than starting over. The honest answer from us after an assessment is always based on what’s actually there not on selling you more than you need.
How do I know if my pavers need cleaning, sealing, restoration, or all three?
The simplest test for sealing is the water bead test pour a small amount of water on the paver surface. If it beads up and rolls off, the sealer is still doing its job. If it soaks in, the sealer has broken down and the surface is unprotected. That’s the trigger for cleaning and resealing.
If you’re also seeing white deposits on the surface (efflorescence), weeds growing in joints, or joint sand that’s visibly eroded or missing, those are signs that a more complete process including efflorescence treatment and polymeric sand installation is warranted. Restoration comes into the picture when pavers are visibly discolored, stained, or faded beyond what cleaning alone can address, or when sections have shifted and need to be releveled.
In Bay Park, the combination of salt air, bay humidity, and freeze-thaw exposure means pavers often show multiple issues at once surface staining, joint erosion, and sealant failure together especially on properties that were installed in the post-Sandy renovation window and haven’t had professional maintenance since. We’ll give you a straight answer on what your surface actually needs after looking at it no pressure to add services that aren’t necessary.
Does paver cleaning or sealing require a permit in Bay Park, NY?
No. Paver cleaning and sealing is a maintenance service, not a construction activity, and it does not require a permit in Bay Park or anywhere in the Town of Hempstead. Permits in this area apply to construction and installation work new paver driveways, retaining walls, structural changes not to cleaning, sealing, or restoring existing surfaces. There’s nothing you need to arrange with the town before the job starts.
One thing worth knowing if your property is in a flood zone area of Bay Park: some homeowners in the hamlet have permeable pavers specifically installed to manage drainage and comply with flood zone requirements. Permeable paver systems need a different approach than standard concrete or brick lower pressure cleaning and no film-forming sealer that would block the surface’s ability to let water through. We work with multiple paver types and materials, and the approach gets matched to what you actually have. If you’re not sure what type of pavers you have or whether they’re permeable, that’s something that gets identified during the assessment before any work begins.
