Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Holbrook

Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!

Paver Cleaning Services Long Island

What Happens to Pavers When Salt Air and Shade Work Together

Living on Manhasset Bay means your pavers are up against something most Long Island homeowners never have to think about. Salt air doesn’t just sit on the surface it moves through unsealed pavers, pulls minerals out from underneath, and leaves behind the white chalky staining known as efflorescence. If you’ve noticed that on your driveway or patio, it’s not cosmetic. It’s a sign that moisture has been working its way through your hardscape for a while.

Then there’s the tree canopy. Baxter Estates is known for its mature oaks, and those trees are beautiful but the shade they cast keeps paver surfaces damp long after rain, which is exactly the environment where moss, algae, and mold thrive. Tannins from oak leaves leach into porous, unsealed pavers and leave behind dark staining that doesn’t come out with a garden hose or a consumer pressure washer. It takes real equipment and the right cleaning agents to break that down completely.

After professional cleaning and sealing, the difference is immediate and lasting. Colors come back. Joints tighten up. Weeds stop finding their way through. The surface is sealed against the next round of bay moisture, leaf fall, and freeze-thaw cycles so you’re not starting over from scratch every spring.

Paver Cleaning Company Nassau County

Nearly 50 Years of Experience Treating Coastal Paver Damage

We’re a family-owned company based in West Babylon, fully licensed and insured, and serving Nassau County homeowners including Baxter Estates with nearly 50 years of combined experience across our team. That’s not a number pulled from one person’s career. It’s the kind of depth that comes from a crew that has seen every paver material, every type of damage, and every Long Island weather scenario you can throw at a hardscape.

Working in a waterfront village like Baxter Estates, right on Manhasset Bay, is different from working in an inland suburb. The salt exposure is real. The flooding history along Shore Road is real. The organic debris from the village’s tree canopy is real. Our team understands how those specific conditions interact and we treat accordingly, not with a one-size-fits-all approach.

Customers who’ve had work done here have specifically named our technicians Jonathan, Gino, and others in their reviews, calling out the clear communication, thorough process, and results that held up. That’s the kind of accountability that matters in a close-knit community like Baxter Estates.

Professional Paver Restoration Baxter Estates

No Shortcuts Here's What Actually Happens on Your Property

The process starts with a full assessment of your pavers the material, the condition of the joints, any shifting or cracking, and the presence of efflorescence, staining, or organic growth. In Baxter Estates, that assessment almost always turns up at least one of these: salt-driven efflorescence from the bay exposure, moss or algae growth under the oak canopy, or joint sand that’s been washed out by heavy rain or coastal flooding events. Knowing what you’re dealing with before the cleaning starts is what separates a professional job from one that fails in six months.

From there, the cleaning itself uses commercial-grade hot water systems not the kind of pressure washer you rent at a hardware store. Hot water breaks down oil, grease, organic matter, and mold at a level that cold water simply can’t reach. Any efflorescence is treated and neutralized before sealing. If you skip that step and seal over it, you lock the problem in permanently. We don’t skip steps.

Once the surface is clean and completely dry, we install polymeric sand in the joints this is the product that hardens when activated and stays locked in place, resisting the weed growth and erosion that regular sand can’t withstand. Then the sealer goes down, matched to your specific paver material and finish preference. Spring is the natural window for this work on Long Island, and fall is a strong secondary option both are ideal for Baxter Estates given the village’s heavy leaf fall in autumn and the harsh coastal winters that follow.

Brick Paver Cleaning and Sealing Nassau County

Every Paver Material, Every Condition Handled Correctly

We work across every paver material concrete, brick, and natural stone including bluestone, travertine, marble, limestone, and granite. That matters in a village like Baxter Estates, where high-value properties often feature premium hardscape materials that require a different approach than standard concrete. Using the wrong sealer on natural stone, or applying it under the wrong conditions, can cause cloudiness, white haze, or peeling that’s difficult and expensive to reverse. The right product selection starts with knowing the material.

Beyond cleaning and sealing, our full scope of services includes paver repair and leveling for shifted or sunken sections, polymeric sand installation to replace eroded joint sand, efflorescence treatment for the mineral staining that’s especially common in coastal environments like Baxter Estates, and full paver restoration for surfaces that look too far gone to save. In most cases, if the foundation is still stable, restoration is possible and it costs a fraction of what a full replacement would run.

We cover driveways, patios, walkways, and pool decks. We serve both residential and commercial clients throughout Nassau County, and we’re fully licensed, insured, and compliant with New York’s construction regulations. Every job is assessed individually and scoped based on what the surface actually needs.

How does living near Manhasset Bay affect my pavers in Baxter Estates?

The waterfront location in Baxter Estates creates paver conditions that are more aggressive than what you’d find in an inland Long Island community. Salt air is the main factor it penetrates unsealed paver surfaces, triggers efflorescence (the white mineral deposits you might see forming on your driveway or patio), and accelerates the breakdown of joint sand over time. Homes closer to Shore Road and Baxter Beach tend to show these signs earlier and more severely than properties set further back from the bay.

Compounding that is the moisture level. Baxter Estates has a documented flooding history along Shore Road tidal events have caused enough flooding that the village secured $7.7 million in state funding for a shoreline restoration project. That same moisture exposure affects your pavers. When water infiltrates unsealed joints and then freezes during winter, it expands and causes cracking and shifting at a faster rate than the freeze-thaw damage you’d see on a dry inland surface. Sealing your pavers and keeping them sealed on a regular cycle is the most direct way to interrupt that process.

For most Long Island homeowners, cleaning every one to two years and resealing every two to three years is the right maintenance cycle. In Baxter Estates specifically, the combination of coastal salt air, high moisture exposure, and heavy organic debris from the village’s tree canopy means you’re likely on the shorter end of that range. Pavers that sit under oak trees or face the bay directly tend to show wear faster moss and algae establish quickly in shaded, damp conditions, and salt infiltration works year-round regardless of season.

The clearest sign that it’s time is the water test: pour a small amount of water on your pavers. If it soaks in instead of beading up, the sealer has worn down and the surface is exposed. Other signs include visible efflorescence, weed growth returning in the joints, fading color, or joint sand that looks thin or washed out. Waiting past these signs doesn’t save money it usually means more prep work and a longer job when you do call us in.

Efflorescence is the white, chalky deposit that forms on paver surfaces when water moves through the material, picks up soluble salts and minerals from within the paver or the base layer, and then deposits them on the surface as the water evaporates. It’s especially common in coastal environments which makes it a very familiar sight for Baxter Estates homeowners given the bay exposure and the moisture levels the village deals with seasonally.

The good news is that efflorescence doesn’t mean your pavers need to be replaced. It does mean they need to be treated properly before any sealing work is done. If you seal over efflorescence without neutralizing it first, you lock those mineral deposits in permanently and the problem becomes much harder to address later. We treat and neutralize efflorescence as a standard part of the process, not an add-on. Once it’s properly cleared and the surface is sealed, the sealer blocks the moisture pathways that caused the deposits in the first place, which significantly reduces recurrence.

Polymeric sand is a specially formulated joint sand that contains binding agents when it gets wet and then dries, it hardens and locks into place. Regular sand, by contrast, washes out after a few heavy rains, leaving open joints where weeds take root, ants tunnel through, and water infiltrates directly into the base. For a village like Baxter Estates that sees significant rainfall and periodic coastal flooding, regular sand in the joints is essentially temporary. It doesn’t last.

When polymeric sand is professionally installed, it can hold up for close to ten years. It eliminates the weed growth that most homeowners spend time pulling every season, it stabilizes the pavers structurally by keeping the joints tight, and it works in combination with the sealer to create a surface that’s genuinely protected rather than just cleaned. It’s one of the most impactful parts of a full-service paver job, and it’s included in what we do not an optional upgrade you have to ask for separately.

In most cases, restoration is possible and the results are more dramatic than most homeowners expect. The instinct when pavers look bad is to assume replacement is the only real fix, but that’s usually not true. If the foundation beneath the pavers is still structurally sound, cleaning, re-sanding, and sealing can bring a surface back to the condition it was in on installation day. Customers who’ve had this done consistently describe the result the same way: their pavers look brand new.

Full paver replacement on Long Island runs anywhere from $8,000 to $12,000 or more depending on the scope of the job. Professional restoration costs a fraction of that. The only time replacement makes more sense than restoration is when the base has failed significant sinking, widespread structural shifting, or a drainage problem that’s undermining the foundation. We assess every job before recommending a path forward, and if restoration is viable, that’s what we’ll tell you. The goal is to give you an honest read on what the surface actually needs, not to upsell a bigger job.

The first thing to confirm is that the company is fully licensed and insured in New York. This matters more than it might seem the barrier to entry in the paver cleaning industry is low, and unlicensed operators are common. If something goes wrong on your property and the company isn’t insured, you’re the one absorbing the cost. For a home in Baxter Estates, NY where property values exceed a million dollars, that’s not a risk worth taking. Ask for proof of insurance before anyone starts work.

Beyond credentials, look at whether the company is a paver specialist or a general pressure washing operation that does pavers on the side. There’s a real difference in how the work gets done. A specialist understands material-specific sealer selection, efflorescence treatment, polymeric sand installation, and the multi-step process that produces lasting results. A generalist may clean the surface adequately but miss the steps that determine how long the job holds up. We focus exclusively on paver cleaning, sealing, and restoration it’s not one service among many. With nearly 50 years of combined experience serving Nassau County homeowners, including clients right here in Baxter Estates, the track record speaks for itself.
