Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Holbrook

Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!

Paver Restoration Services Nassau County

What Your Baldwin Pavers Look Like After We're Done

Baldwin sits on Nassau County’s South Shore, where clay-heavy coastal soil holds moisture year-round and the water table sits closer to the surface than most homeowners realize. That moisture doesn’t just fall on your pavers from above it works its way up through the joints from below. Every freeze-thaw cycle pushes it deeper, expands it, contracts it, and slowly shifts your pavers, erodes your joint sand, and leaves behind the white mineral deposits you’ve probably been staring at since March.

After professional cleaning and sealing by us, that changes. Colors come back. Joints get stabilized. The surface stops absorbing water and starts shedding it. For homeowners in Baldwin Harbor especially where canal-front properties deal with salt air off the bay, humidity from surrounding waterways, and the kind of residue that coastal flooding leaves behind the difference between a maintained paver surface and a neglected one is dramatic.

The goal isn’t just a cleaner driveway or a nicer patio. It’s a surface that holds up to the specific conditions your property faces every single season and one that doesn’t quietly deteriorate into a $10,000 replacement job while you’re busy commuting into the city.

Trusted Paver Cleaning Company Long Island

Nearly 50 Years of Experience Serving Baldwin and South Shore Nassau County

We’re a family-owned company based in West Babylon just down Sunrise Highway from Baldwin and we’ve been serving Nassau and Suffolk County homeowners with paver cleaning, sealing, and restoration for years. Our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience to every job, which means we’ve seen what South Shore conditions actually do to pavers over time, not just what the textbook says.

We’re fully licensed and insured under New York’s construction regulations. In an industry where the barrier to entry is low and unlicensed operators are common, that matters. If something goes wrong on your property, you’re protected. That’s a short list in this business.

Baldwin customers have told us directly: “They made my 20-year-old pavers look new.” That’s not a marketing line it’s a real review from a real homeowner on this street, in this town. We also offer financing options, so if you’ve been putting the job off because of timing or budget, there’s a path forward that doesn’t require waiting another season.

Professional Paver Cleaning Process Baldwin, NY

No Guesswork Here's What the Job Actually Involves

The first thing we do is assess what you’re actually dealing with. Not every paver surface needs the same approach. A driveway on a Baldwin Harbor canal-front property that’s been exposed to brackish water and periodic flooding is a different job than a backyard patio on a split-level off Grand Avenue. The condition of the joint sand, the type of sealer currently on the surface, the presence of efflorescence or biological growth all of that gets evaluated before anything starts.

From there, the cleaning comes first. We use commercial-grade hot water systems not the kind of consumer pressure washer you’d rent from a hardware store. Hot water reaches the embedded algae, mold, oil stains, and mineral deposits that cold water leaves behind. Once the surface is clean and completely dry, we address the joints. If your sand has washed out which it does, especially after the heavy spring rains Baldwin gets we replace it with polymeric sand that hardens when activated and locks the joints tight. That’s the permanent fix for the weeds that keep coming back every June.

Sealing is the final step. The right sealer depends on your paver material and the finish you want. We work across concrete, brick, natural stone, bluestone, and travertine and we match the product to the surface, not the other way around. When the job is done, you’ll know exactly what was done and why.

Paver Cleaning and Sealing Services Baldwin

Everything Baldwin Pavers Actually Need, Done Right

We handle the full scope of what a paver surface needs cleaning, re-sanding, sealing, restoration, and repair. For Baldwin homeowners, that often means addressing years of accumulated damage from conditions that are specific to this area. The dominant housing stock here was built between the 1940s and 1960s, and even pavers added during renovation waves of the 1980s and 1990s are now 25 to 45 years old. Many have never been professionally sealed. The gap between what those surfaces look like now and what a proper restoration can deliver is significant.

Efflorescence treatment is part of the process when it’s needed those white mineral deposits have to be neutralized before sealing, not sealed over. If they get locked in, they’re locked in permanently. We also address shifted or sunken pavers before sealing, because sealing over an unstable surface just preserves the problem.

For pool decks and waterfront patios in Baldwin Harbor, our service accounts for the specific stressors those surfaces face: constant moisture exposure, chlorine splash, salt air, and the need for a non-slip finish that holds up in a high-traffic, high-moisture environment. We assess each job individually and recommend what the surface actually needs. Financing is available if you’d rather spread the cost than delay the work.

How do I know if my Baldwin pavers need cleaning or full replacement?

This is the most common question, and the answer is usually better than homeowners expect. If your pavers are stained, faded, covered in algae or weeds, and the joints have eroded that looks like a replacement situation, but it rarely is. The real question is whether the foundation underneath is still stable. If the base is sound and the pavers themselves haven’t cracked through structurally, restoration is almost always possible and far less expensive than starting over.

In Baldwin specifically, the freeze-thaw cycles combined with the area’s high water table and clay-heavy coastal soil can cause pavers to shift or sink over time. That looks alarming, but shifted pavers can often be re-leveled and re-laid as part of a restoration rather than replaced entirely. Full paver replacement on Long Island typically runs $8,000 to $12,000 or more. Professional cleaning and restoration is a fraction of that cost. We’ll assess the condition of your surface before recommending anything if replacement is genuinely the right call, we’ll tell you. But in most cases, it isn’t.

For most Long Island properties, the general recommendation is cleaning every one to two years and sealing every two to three years. But Baldwin’s South Shore conditions can push that toward the more frequent end of that range. The combination of humid summers that accelerate algae and mold growth, heavy spring rains that erode joint sand, coastal salt air, and freeze-thaw cycles means your pavers are under more stress than a comparable surface in an inland community.

A practical way to check whether it’s time to reseal is the water test: pour a small amount of water on your pavers. If it beads up and runs off, the sealer is still working. If it soaks in, the sealer has worn down and the surface is unprotected. Visible efflorescence, weed growth coming back through the joints, or color that looks significantly faded are also clear signs. Staying on a regular schedule is much cheaper than waiting until the damage compounds by the time pavers look truly bad, the repair scope is usually larger than it needed to be.

Regular joint sand washes out. That’s not a flaw it’s just what regular sand does when it gets hit with enough water. In Baldwin, where spring rains are heavy and sustained, and where properties near Milburn Creek or the Baldwin Harbor canals deal with elevated moisture year-round, that erosion happens faster than it would in a drier environment. Once the sand is gone, weeds move in, ants tunnel through, and the joints lose the structural support that keeps pavers in place.

Polymeric sand is different. It contains binding agents that activate with water and then harden as the sand dries, locking the joints tight. It resists erosion, blocks weed infiltration, and holds up against ant tunneling. When professionally applied, it can last up to ten years. The key word is professionally it has to be applied correctly, at the right moisture level, with the right compaction, and fully activated before the surface gets wet again. Done right, it’s one of the most effective long-term improvements you can make to a paver surface. Done wrong, it fails fast and leaves a mess that’s harder to correct than starting fresh.

Yes, and pool decks are one of the more involved surfaces to do correctly. They face a specific combination of stressors that other paver surfaces don’t: constant water exposure, chlorine splash, heavy foot traffic, and the need for a sealer that provides traction rather than a slick finish. In Baldwin Harbor, add salt air from the bay and the humidity that comes with living near the canal network, and you have a surface that degrades faster than a standard driveway or backyard patio.

The sealer selection for a pool deck matters more than most homeowners realize. A high-gloss wet-look sealer that looks great on a driveway can be dangerously slippery when wet around a pool. We match the sealer to the application for pool decks, that means a product that enhances the surface without compromising safety. The cleaning process also addresses the calcium and mineral deposits that chlorinated water leaves behind, which are different from the typical algae and mold buildup you’d see on a shaded patio. The result is a surface that looks good, holds up to the environment, and is safe to walk on barefoot after a swim.

It happens more than you’d think. In an industry where licensing requirements for paver work are minimal, a lot of homeowners have had pavers sealed by someone who used the wrong product, applied it over a dirty or wet surface, or put on too many coats. The result is usually one of a few things: a white hazy film that won’t come off, peeling or flaking sealer, or a surface that looks worse than it did before.

The fix depends on what was used and how badly it failed. In some cases, a solvent-based stripper can remove the failed sealer and allow the surface to be properly cleaned and resealed. In others, the damage is more involved. We assess the existing sealer condition as part of the initial evaluation we won’t just seal over a problem. If you’ve had a bad experience with a previous company and you’re hesitant to try again, that’s a reasonable concern. The difference is that we’re fully licensed and insured, and we explain what we’re doing and why at every step. You’re not handing your driveway over to someone who disappears if something goes wrong.

Spring is the most natural window for a few reasons that are specific to how Long Island winters work. Freeze-thaw cycles run from roughly December through March in Nassau County, and by the time April arrives, the full extent of the winter’s damage is visible shifted pavers, eroded joints, efflorescence that surfaced as moisture moved through the material, and biological growth that took hold in the damp. Addressing all of that before summer means your outdoor spaces are ready when you actually want to use them.

There’s also a practical timing reason: sealers need to be applied in the right temperature and moisture conditions. The spring window once temperatures are consistently above 50°F and rain isn’t in the immediate forecast is ideal for the sealer to cure properly. Baldwin’s coastal humidity can extend drying times compared to drier inland areas, so working with a professional who accounts for that matters. Fall is a solid secondary window if you miss the spring sealing before the first freeze protects your pavers through another winter. What doesn’t work is waiting indefinitely. Every season without sealing on a South Shore property is another season of moisture, salt, and freeze-thaw cycles doing damage that compounds quietly until it doesn’t.
