Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.Posted on Google![]()

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!Posted on Google![]()

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.Posted on Google![]()

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on Google![]()

Paver Cleaning Services Long Island
When pavers on a South Amityville canal property go a few years without professional attention, they don’t just look dirty they look decades older than they are. Salt air deposits, algae growth from the bay humidity, washed-out joint sand, efflorescence building up on the surface. The damage compounds quietly until the homeowner assumes replacement is the only answer. It usually isn’t.
Professional paver cleaning removes what years of Great South Bay exposure have left behind the organic growth, the mineral deposits, the ground-in staining that a garden hose never touches. After cleaning, properly applied polymeric sand locks the joints back down and resists the weed infiltration that’s been pulling your paver structure apart from the inside. A quality sealer then creates a barrier against the moisture and salt that caused the problem in the first place.
What you end up with is a driveway, patio, or pool deck that looks like it was just installed and is now actually protected against what Amityville’s coastal environment throws at it every season. Sealed pavers can last 20 to 25 years or more. Unsealed ones, especially this close to the water, start breaking down in seven to ten years. That’s the real difference between maintenance and replacement.
Professional Paver Cleaning Near Amityville
Paver Savers is based in West Babylon directly next door to Amityville within the same Town of Babylon. This isn’t a company routing crews from Nassau County or further east. We’re local, we’re licensed and insured in New York State, and we’ve been working on South Shore properties long enough to know exactly what the combination of freeze-thaw cycles, bay humidity, and salt air does to pavers over time.
The team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience to every job across concrete, brick, and natural stone pavers on everything from historic Victorian colonials near Amityville’s Broadway to canal-front homes in South Amityville. We serve both residential and commercial clients, and we’re a family-owned operation, which means the people doing the work have their name attached to it.
Financing is available for those who’d rather not handle the full cost upfront. Every project gets clear communication from start to finish no guessing, no surprises.
Paver Restoration Process in Amityville
Before anything else, we assess the surface. That means looking at the condition of the joints, checking for efflorescence, identifying any shifted or sunken pavers, and understanding what material we’re working with. Amityville properties especially those closer to the canals and the bay often show accelerated efflorescence and organic growth that needs to be treated before cleaning begins, not after. Skipping that step and sealing over it locks the problem in permanently.
Once the surface is prepped, we use commercial-grade hot water cleaning systems to deep clean the pavers. This isn’t consumer pressure washing equipment. Hot water reaches the organic matter, oil staining, and mineral deposits that cold water leaves behind, and the professional-grade rotary surface cleaner we use cleans evenly without etching or streaking the surface. After cleaning, we remove the old joint sand, address any leveling issues, and install polymeric sand the kind that hardens when activated and holds for up to ten years instead of washing out after the first heavy rain off the bay.
Sealing is the final step, and it only happens once the surface is completely dry. We use high-quality sealers matched to your specific paver material and your finish preference. Spring is the natural window for this work on Long Island after winter’s freeze-thaw cycle shows you what needs attention and before the summer entertaining season begins. We’ll tell you exactly where your pavers stand and what makes sense for them.

Brick and Driveway Paver Cleaning Amityville
We work across all paver materials concrete, brick, and natural stone including bluestone, travertine, and limestone and across every application you’d find on an Amityville property. Driveway paver cleaning, patio paver cleaning, walkway restoration, pool deck work. The approach changes based on what you have, because the wrong sealer on the wrong material causes more damage than no sealer at all.
For canal-front and bay-adjacent homes in South Amityville, we pay particular attention to salt deposits and efflorescence treatment before sealing. These properties face a level of moisture and mineral exposure that inland Suffolk County homes don’t, and the prep work reflects that. For the older housing stock closer to Amityville’s historic downtown the Cape Cods and colonials that have had the same pavers for twenty or thirty years restoration is almost always the right call before anyone starts talking about replacement. Full paver replacement on Long Island runs into the thousands. In most cases, a professional clean, resand, and seal gets you back to like-new at a fraction of that cost.
There are no named service tiers or packages we look at what your pavers actually need and build the scope from there. Everything is fully licensed and insured work, compliant with New York State requirements.
How does living near the Great South Bay affect how often I should seal my Amityville pavers?
Closer to the water, the answer is more frequently than the standard recommendation. For most Long Island properties, sealing every two to three years is the general guideline. But in Amityville particularly for homes in South Amityville or along the canal streets the combination of salt air, bay humidity, and freeze-thaw cycles puts more stress on a sealer than an inland property experiences. Salt deposits are corrosive to the sealer film over time, and the elevated humidity accelerates algae and mold growth that breaks down the surface bond.
A good way to check without calling anyone is the water bead test. Pour a small amount of water on your pavers. If it beads up and sits on the surface, the sealer is still doing its job. If it soaks in immediately, the sealer is gone and your pavers are unprotected. For bay-adjacent properties in Amityville, that test will often tell you it’s time before the two-year mark.
Can heavily stained or discolored pavers really be restored, or do they need to be replaced?
In most cases, yes they can be restored, and replacement is rarely necessary unless the foundation itself has failed. This is one of the most common misconceptions we run into. Homeowners see pavers that are stained, covered in algae, showing white mineral deposits, and shifted in a few spots, and they assume the only option is to tear everything out and start over. That assumption is expensive and usually wrong.
Professional cleaning with commercial-grade hot water equipment removes staining, organic growth, and efflorescence that consumer pressure washers can’t touch. Shifted or sunken pavers can be re-leveled and re-laid. New polymeric sand fills and stabilizes the joints. A quality sealer protects the restored surface going forward. The result looks like new installation at a fraction of the replacement cost which on Long Island runs well into the thousands for a full driveway or patio.
The one scenario where replacement makes more sense is when the base material underneath has failed structurally. That’s something we assess before any work begins, so you know exactly what you’re dealing with.
What is polymeric sand and why does it matter more in a coastal town like Amityville?
Polymeric sand is a joint sand that contains binding agents when it gets wet and then dries, it hardens into a firm, stable joint. Regular sand just washes out. That distinction matters everywhere on Long Island, but it matters more in Amityville because of the rainfall patterns and the proximity to the Great South Bay. Heavy rains off the South Shore, combined with the general moisture load from the bay, erode regular joint sand faster than you’d see in a more sheltered inland community. Once the sand is gone, weeds move in, ants tunnel through, and the structural integrity of the paver surface starts to break down.
Professionally installed polymeric sand, when properly applied and activated, can hold for up to ten years. It resists weed infiltration, ant tunneling, and the kind of erosion that coastal moisture accelerates. It also keeps the joints tight, which reduces the movement that leads to cracking and shifting over time. If your pavers have regular sand in the joints right now, replacing it with polymeric sand is one of the highest-value things you can do for the long-term health of the surface.
Is there a difference between paver pressure washing and professional paver cleaning?
Yes, and it’s a meaningful one. Consumer pressure washing the kind of equipment you can rent or buy at a hardware store uses cold water at high pressure. It can remove surface dirt, but it can’t touch oil staining, deep-set algae, efflorescence, or the kind of organic growth that builds up in Amityville’s humid, bay-adjacent summers. Cold water also doesn’t penetrate the paver surface the way hot water does. And if the pressure is too high or the nozzle is too close, it can etch the surface, leave streaking marks, or blow out the joint sand entirely.
Professional paver cleaning uses commercial-grade hot water systems and a rotary surface cleaner that distributes pressure evenly across the surface. The hot water breaks down oils, mold, mildew, and mineral deposits at a level cold water can’t reach. The rotary head prevents the uneven cleaning patterns and surface damage that a standard wand leaves behind. The result isn’t just cleaner it’s a surface that’s properly prepared for sealing, which is what actually protects the paver long-term.
How long does the paver cleaning and sealing process take, and when is the best time to book in Amityville?
For a typical residential driveway or patio, the cleaning, sanding, and sealing process is usually completed in one to two days depending on the size of the job and the condition of the pavers. The sealer needs the surface to be completely dry before application, so weather plays a role we won’t seal in rain or when temperatures are too low for the product to cure properly.
In Amityville, spring is the best window to book. After winter, the freeze-thaw cycle has done its work you can see clearly where pavers have shifted, where joint sand has eroded, and where efflorescence has surfaced. Getting the work done in April or May means your outdoor spaces are ready before Memorial Day and the summer entertaining season that comes with living on the bay. Demand picks up quickly in spring, so booking earlier rather than waiting until June is worth it. Fall is a solid second window sealing before winter gives your pavers real protection against the salt and freeze-thaw damage that comes with a Long Island coastal winter.
Does Paver Savers work on commercial properties in Amityville, not just residential?
Yes. We serve both residential and commercial clients across Suffolk County, and Amityville is no exception. With the village’s $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative actively transforming the Broadway corridor and bringing new mixed-use development to the area, commercial property owners restaurants, retail, professional offices are under real pressure to keep their exterior hardscapes looking sharp. When the public spaces around your property are being upgraded, a stained or weed-filled paver entrance stands out in the wrong way.
Commercial paver cleaning and sealing follows the same multi-step process as residential work assessment, deep cleaning, polymeric sand, sealing but the scope and scheduling are adapted to minimize disruption to business operations. We’re fully licensed and insured in New York State, which matters for commercial property owners who need to verify contractor credentials before authorizing work. If you manage a commercial property anywhere in the Amityville area and want to talk through what the job involves, reach out and we’ll take a look.
