Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Holbrook

Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!

Paver Restoration Services, Suffolk County

Your Amagansett Pavers Look the Way This Property Should

There’s a specific kind of disappointment that hits when you pull off Montauk Highway after a long drive from the city, walk around back, and find your patio looking like it survived a rough winter because it did. Salt staining, efflorescence blooms, weeds pushing through the joints, color that’s gone dull and flat. It doesn’t match the property. It doesn’t match what you paid for it.

Professional paver cleaning and sealing fixes that. Not cosmetically structurally. In Amagansett, the Atlantic Ocean isn’t just nearby, it’s a constant presence. Salt deposits from coastal winds work their way into unprotected paver surfaces year-round, not just during storms. That salt accelerates the same freeze-thaw cracking that affects all of Long Island, and it drives the white mineral deposits efflorescence that bloom on paver faces after winter.

Sealing creates a barrier that stops that process before it compounds. The result is pavers that look the way they did when they were installed clean, tight joints, color that reads correctly, surfaces that hold up to the pool splashing, the outdoor dining, the foot traffic that defines summer on the South Fork. And when you’re coordinating from New York City, you need that result without having to babysit the job. That’s exactly how we work.

Paver Cleaning Company, East Hampton Area

50 Years of Experience Serving Amagansett and the South Fork

We’re a family-owned company based on Long Island, fully licensed and insured, and serving all of Suffolk County including Amagansett and the South Fork from East Hampton through Montauk. Our team brings nearly 50 years of combined experience to every job, which means we’ve worked on everything from standard concrete driveways in western Suffolk to the bluestone patios and travertine pool surrounds that are the construction standard in the Hamptons.

That experience matters here specifically. Amagansett properties aren’t typical Long Island jobs. The materials are different, the exposure is different, and the expectations are higher. When you’re dealing with a bluestone patio or a natural stone pool deck at a property on or near the water, the wrong sealer or improper surface prep causes permanent damage. We use material-specific cleaning chemistry and sealer selection not a one-size approach because the work demands it.

We’re also the kind of company that communicates clearly and shows up when we say we will. If you’re managing a property remotely, that’s not a small thing. It’s the whole thing.

Professional Paver Cleaning Process, Amagansett

What Actually Happens Before Your Season Starts

The process starts with an honest assessment of what you’re working with. Before anything gets cleaned or sealed, we evaluate the surface paver condition, joint stability, any shifting or sinking, signs of efflorescence, and what material you’re dealing with. Natural stone like bluestone or travertine requires different handling than concrete or brick, and that determination shapes every step that follows.

From there, the cleaning comes first. We use commercial-grade hot water pressure systems not consumer equipment to remove embedded salt deposits, algae, mold, staining, and organic buildup. This matters in Amagansett because coastal properties accumulate a specific combination of salt residue, moisture-driven organic growth, and fine sand debris that standard pressure washing doesn’t fully address.

Once the surface is clean and fully dry, we treat and neutralize efflorescence. Any shifted or sunken pavers get leveled. Joint sand is replaced with polymeric sand, which hardens when activated and locks the joints against weed infiltration and erosion important in sandy coastal soils where regular sand washes out quickly.

Sealing goes on last, after everything else is done correctly. The sealer type is matched to the material. The timing matters too spring is the natural window in Amagansett, giving you a clean, protected surface before Memorial Day and the full summer season. If you’re not on-site during the work, we keep you informed the whole way through.

Brick and Stone Paver Cleaning, Amagansett NY

Built for Coastal Properties, Not Generic Driveways

We handle the full range of paver surfaces concrete, brick, and natural stone across driveways, patios, walkways, and pool decks. In Amagansett, pool decks are one of the most common and most demanding applications. Chlorine splash, sunscreen residue, algae growth from constant moisture, and the wet-dry cycling that degrades sealers faster than almost anything else pool decks here take a beating. Our cleaning and sealing process addresses all of it, including anti-slip sealer options for surfaces that see heavy barefoot traffic.

For properties along Further Lane, in Devon Colony on Gardiner’s Bay, or anywhere near the water, natural stone is the material most likely underfoot. Bluestone, travertine, limestone, marble these materials are more porous than concrete and more sensitive to salt infiltration. They also require sealers that don’t trap moisture or cloud the surface. That’s a chemistry decision, not just a product preference, and it’s where experience with Hamptons-grade materials actually counts.

We also cover paver restoration when pavers look damaged, stained, or structurally compromised, replacement isn’t always the answer. If the foundation is sound, restoration delivers a result that looks brand new at a fraction of what it costs to tear out and reinstall high-end natural stone. We evaluate every surface before recommending a direction. Financing is available for larger projects. We’re fully licensed and insured, which matters specifically in Amagansett the Town of East Hampton holds contractors to a separate licensing standard beyond standard Suffolk County credentials.

How does Amagansett's ocean air actually damage pavers over time?

Salt from Atlantic coastal winds and ocean spray deposits continuously on any paver surface within range of the water and in Amagansett, that’s most of the hamlet. Unlike road salt, which is a seasonal problem, ocean-borne salt is a year-round issue. It works its way into the pores of unprotected pavers and does two things: it draws moisture into the surface, which accelerates freeze-thaw cracking during winter, and it triggers efflorescence the white mineral deposits that bloom on paver faces, especially after wet winters.

Sealing creates a physical barrier that stops salt from penetrating the surface in the first place. For properties directly on or near the ocean in Amagansett, this isn’t optional maintenance it’s the primary line of defense against the most constant source of damage the property faces. Natural stone materials like bluestone and travertine, which are common in Amagansett’s luxury construction, are more porous than concrete and absorb salt more readily, making proper sealing even more critical for those surfaces.

For most Long Island properties, the standard recommendation is to clean pavers every one to two years and reseal every two to three years. In Amagansett, the coastal exposure compresses that timeline somewhat salt air, higher humidity, and the combination of ocean spray and freeze-thaw cycling put more stress on sealers than you’d see in an inland Suffolk County town. If your property is within a few blocks of the ocean or on Gardiner’s Bay, erring toward the shorter end of that range is the smarter call.

For second-home owners who aren’t on-site year-round, a practical approach is a spring cleaning and inspection each season, with sealing every two to three years depending on how the surface looks and whether water is still beading on the surface. When water soaks in rather than beading, the sealer has worn down and it’s time. If you’re seeing efflorescence, weed growth in the joints, or fading color, those are additional signs that the surface needs attention before the next season starts.

Yes, and they should be but the process is different from cleaning concrete or brick. Bluestone and travertine are natural stones with higher porosity, which means they absorb contaminants faster and are more sensitive to both cleaning chemistry and sealer selection. The wrong acid-based cleaner can etch travertine permanently. The wrong sealer particularly a solvent-based product applied to a moisture-rich natural stone can cause cloudiness, peeling, or a white haze that’s extremely difficult to reverse.

We use material-specific cleaning solutions and match the sealer type to the stone, taking into account the porosity, finish, and the coastal moisture environment the surface lives in. For Amagansett properties where bluestone patios and travertine pool surrounds are standard features of high-end outdoor construction, this level of material knowledge isn’t a bonus it’s the baseline requirement. If a company doesn’t ask what material your pavers are made of before quoting the job, that’s a red flag worth paying attention to.

No permit is required for paver cleaning and sealing as a maintenance service. Permits come into play for new paver installations Suffolk County and the Town of East Hampton have requirements for certain hardscape construction projects but cleaning and sealing existing pavers is maintenance work, not construction, and doesn’t trigger the same permitting process.

What does matter in Amagansett specifically is contractor licensing. The Town of East Hampton requires contractors performing home improvement work to hold a valid Town of East Hampton Home Improvement Contractors License separate from and in addition to a standard Suffolk County license. This is a licensing layer that not every contractor serving the area carries. We’re fully licensed and insured, adhering to New York’s construction regulations, which is the correct credential posture for working on properties in the Town of East Hampton. If you’re hiring any contractor for work at your Amagansett property, confirming they hold the appropriate East Hampton Town credentials not just a general Suffolk County license is worth the two minutes it takes to ask.

In most cases, restoration is the right answer and the significantly cheaper one. Full paver replacement on Long Island runs into serious money, and in the Hamptons market, where sourcing matching natural stone materials and coordinating contractors at local labor rates adds additional cost, the gap between restoration and replacement is even wider than the national average figures suggest.

The determining factor is the foundation. If the base is structurally sound and the pavers themselves aren’t broken beyond repair, professional cleaning, leveling, polymeric sand installation, and sealing can deliver a result that looks brand new. Cracking, staining, efflorescence, color fading, and even significant weed infiltration are all addressable through restoration. We evaluate every surface before recommending a direction if replacement is genuinely the right call, we’ll tell you. But the instinct to replace pavers that just look bad, without checking whether the foundation is still solid, leads a lot of homeowners to spend far more than they need to.

This is one of the more common questions from Amagansett homeowners, and it’s a fair one. Most second-home owners here are coordinating from New York City or elsewhere, and the idea of scheduling a contractor job without being on-site to oversee it can feel uncertain. We handle remote coordination regularly clear communication before the job starts, updates through the process, and confirmation when the work is complete are part of how we operate, not an exception made on request.

Spring is the natural window for most Amagansett properties scheduling a cleaning and sealing service in April or May means the surface is ready before Memorial Day weekend and the full summer season. If you’re targeting a specific arrival date or a rental turnover, that timeline can be built around. We show up when scheduled, complete the work without requiring you to manage the process from a distance, and leave the property in better condition than we found it no mess, no damage to surrounding landscaping or outdoor furniture. For homeowners managing high-value properties remotely, that reliability is the whole point.
