Paver Savers performed a Efflorence Treatment, Surface Cleaning & Pressure Washing, Polymeric Sand Install and Natural Stone Sealer to my front and backyard pavers. I had a couple sections with stubborn efflorence that they were able to remove as shown below. I strongly recommend using them rather than trying to do it yourself, its worth the costs. They have professional equipment and personnel that know what they're doing. The owner Jon and foreman Gino were a pleasure to deal with.

Paver Savers cleaned our pavers and restored the polymeric sand. All the unsightly moss and old sand were removed and replaced with a minimum of mess or cleanup. They came when they promised, and they completed the job quickly. The result is great; we have a beautifully clean and well detailed driveway. I would highly recommend them. John C. Holbrook

Paver Savers came highly recommended and rightfully so. Jon spoke with my wife and I and did not rush us off the phone. He agreed to a time and date convenient for us. He arrived when he said he would and we walked around the house. He made an accurate assessment of what was needed to be done and gave us a very fair quote. He answered all our questions and provided a detailed synopsis of all the work that was to be performed. He suggested sand colors which were totally in line with what matched our pavers and made it easy for our discerning eyes to choose a color. He also gave us the pros and cons of clear versus colored coatings, making it easy to choose. We only had to wait a few days for the work to commence, contingent on the weather. Jon explained that any rainy weather would not be conducive to a good result and he completed the cleaning and sand application on a beautiful rain-free day. The stones looked brand new! The clear coating was applied on the next rain-free day and the results were astounding! The clean and coated pavers make our property appearance renewed. We've already received compliments on how nice the property looks, thanks to a job well done!

Jon and his team were a lifesaver for our patio. We were constantly getting weeds and ant hills through the cracks of our patio. Jons team was efficient and make the process quick for us. Once we booked Jon gave us his cell number and answered every question I had especially since we have a dog so we were nervous. He gave us all the tips and tricks to make it last longer and our pavers look brand new. Couldn’t thank him enough.

John and his crew were professional , neat and clean. They made my pool pavers, steps and walkways look brand new at a very good price point, considering the work went into into a project like mine. They literally saved my pavers, true to their name. John was honest and fair and most importantly truthful. Everything he told me I was in for happened just as he explained it up front. No surprises. No upselling. Stuck to his estimate and was there when he said he would be. Easy to communicate and schedule with. Great job and a stress free experience.

I highly recommend Long Island Paver Savers. Jon was a pleasure to work with and delivered on all aspects of the job. The crew was neat, efficient and very professional. Pavers are such a nice embellishment to a home but if they are soiled and lack their original luster it’s nothing but an eyesore. This was well worth the investment and I am extremely satisfied with the final result. Once again I highly recommend this company and you won’t be disappointed!

Paver Restoration Services Nassau County

What Your Albertson Pavers Look Like After Professional Restoration

Most Albertson homeowners come to us thinking replacement is the only option. The pavers are stained, the joints are full of weeds, and the whole surface looks like it belongs to a different house than the one they’ve spent years maintaining. What they don’t realize yet is that when the foundation is still sound, professional cleaning and restoration can bring those pavers back to the way they looked when they were first installed without the $8,000 to $12,000 price tag that full replacement carries in Nassau County.

Albertson’s tree-lined residential streets are part of what makes the neighborhood feel the way it does. But those mature trees create persistent shade on driveways and patios, and shaded surfaces stay damp far longer after rain than open, sun-exposed ones. That moisture feeds the moss, algae, and mildew that keeps coming back no matter how many times you rinse it off. After a professional cleaning with commercial-grade hot water equipment, that organic growth is gone at the root not just on the surface.

With homes in Albertson now selling at or above $1 million, the condition of your outdoor surfaces carries real financial weight. A sealed driveway and clean patio aren’t just easier to look at they hold up through Nassau County’s freeze-thaw winters, resist staining, and don’t require attention again for another two to three years.

Paver Cleaning Company Albertson, NY

Nearly 50 Years of Experience Serving Albertson and North Hempstead

Paver Savers is a family-owned, fully licensed and insured paver cleaning, sealing, and restoration company based right here on Long Island. We bring nearly 50 years of combined experience to every job and that depth shows in the details. We’re not a general pressure washing company that added paver sealing to a menu of services. This is all we do, and we’ve been doing it long enough to have seen every type of paver damage, every material, and every way Nassau County’s climate works against an unprotected hardscape.

We serve homeowners throughout Albertson and the surrounding North Hempstead area, including neighbors in Roslyn Heights, Williston Park, Herricks, and Searingtown. If you’ve driven past the Clark Botanic Garden on I.U. Willets Road and noticed how well-maintained the grounds look, you already have a sense of the standard this neighborhood holds. We help the homeowners on the surrounding streets match it. Every technician on our crew is named, accountable, and takes the work seriously because in a community this size, reputation is everything.

Professional Paver Cleaning Process Long Island

No Guesswork Here's Exactly What Happens to Your Pavers

Before anything else, we assess the surface. That means looking at the paver material, the condition of the joints, whether there’s efflorescence present, and whether any pavers have shifted or sunk. For homes in Albertson many of which were built between the 1940s and 1960s this step matters more than people expect. Pavers that have been through decades of North Hempstead freeze-thaw cycles often have issues that aren’t visible until you look closely, and knowing what you’re working with determines how the job gets done.

Once we’ve assessed the surface, we deep clean using commercial-grade hot water systems. This isn’t the same equipment you’d rent from a hardware store. The heat and pressure combination removes oil, grease, mold, algae, and embedded grime that cold water can’t touch. If efflorescence is present the white mineral deposits that appear on older concrete and brick pavers we treat and neutralize it before anything else goes on top. Sealing over untreated efflorescence locks it in permanently, so this step isn’t optional.

After cleaning, we remove the old joint sand and replace it with polymeric sand. This is where a lot of homeowners see the biggest difference. Polymeric sand hardens when activated, locks the joints tight, and resists the weed infiltration and ant tunneling that standard sand allows. Once the surface is fully dry, we apply the right sealer for your specific paver material and finish preference. Spring is the natural window for this work in Albertson after winter reveals what the freeze-thaw cycle has done and before summer entertaining season begins but fall is also a strong time to seal before the next round of cold weather arrives.

Brick and Driveway Paver Cleaning Albertson

Every Material, Every Surface, One Specialist Team

We work with concrete pavers, brick pavers, and natural stone including bluestone, travertine, marble, limestone, and granite. The approach changes depending on the material. What works on a concrete driveway paver isn’t always right for a natural stone patio, and applying the wrong sealer to the wrong surface causes problems that are expensive to fix. With nearly 50 years of combined experience across every material type, we don’t guess we know what your pavers need and why.

For Albertson homeowners specifically, driveway paver cleaning tends to be the most common starting point. The driveway is the first thing anyone sees when they pull up to a home on Willis Avenue or one of the residential streets nearby, and in a market where homes are selling above $1 million, that first impression matters. Beyond driveways, we handle patios, walkways, and pool decks any paved outdoor surface that’s accumulated years of Nassau County weather.

We also offer paver repair as part of the restoration process. If pavers have shifted, sunk, or cracked from years of freeze-thaw pressure beneath the joints, we can re-level and re-lay them before cleaning and sealing. The goal is always to restore what’s there rather than replace it, and in most cases where the foundation is stable, that’s exactly what we’re able to do. Financing is available for larger projects, which is something no prominent local competitor in Albertson currently offers.

How do I know if my Albertson pavers need cleaning or full replacement?

This is the most common question we get from homeowners in Albertson, and the answer almost always surprises people. If the foundation beneath your pavers is still stable meaning the pavers aren’t sinking into soft or eroded ground then restoration is almost always the smarter path. Staining, fading, weed growth, efflorescence, and even cracked or shifted individual pavers are all problems that professional cleaning and restoration can address without starting over.

The homes in Albertson are predominantly mid-century construction, which means a lot of driveways and patios are carrying 30, 40, or even 50 years of wear. That doesn’t automatically mean they’re beyond saving. What it does mean is that they need a thorough assessment before anyone tells you what the job requires. We look at the foundation, the joint condition, the paver material, and the extent of the damage before making any recommendations. If replacement is genuinely the right call, we’ll tell you but in our experience, it rarely is when the base is intact.

For most paver surfaces in Nassau County, cleaning every one to two years and sealing every two to three years is a reasonable maintenance cycle. Albertson’s climate pushes toward the more frequent end of that range for a few reasons. The freeze-thaw cycles that run through North Hempstead every winter work moisture into unsealed joints repeatedly, and the tree canopy that shades a lot of Albertson’s residential streets keeps those surfaces damp longer than open areas which accelerates organic growth between cleanings.

The practical test is simpler than a calendar. Pour a small amount of water on your pavers. If it beads up and sits on the surface, the sealer is still doing its job. If it soaks in quickly, the sealer has worn down and the surface is exposed. You can also look for visible signs: efflorescence returning, weeds pushing through joints, fading color, or a dull surface where there used to be a sheen. Any of those is a reliable indicator that it’s time to schedule a cleaning and reseal before the next winter season arrives.

Standard joint sand the kind that fills the gaps between pavers washes out after a few heavy rainstorms. Once it’s gone, those open joints become exactly what weed seeds and ants are looking for: an unobstructed path into the surface. You end up pulling weeds every spring, watching them come back by July, and wondering why nothing you try actually holds.

Polymeric sand is different because it contains binding agents that activate when wet. Once it cures, it locks the joints tight and stays there. Professionally applied polymeric sand can last up to ten years, compared to standard sand that may need replacement after a single season. For Albertson homeowners dealing with the combination of mature tree root systems pushing up from below and weed seeds dropping from above, this upgrade isn’t just cosmetic it’s structural. It also resists ant tunneling, which is a surprisingly common cause of joint erosion in Nassau County’s residential neighborhoods.

Spring gets the most attention because it’s when winter damage becomes visible and homeowners start thinking about their outdoor spaces again. But fall is genuinely a strong window for paver sealing in Albertson, and in some ways it’s the more strategic choice. Sealing before the first freeze gives your pavers a protective barrier going into the season that does the most damage the freeze-thaw cycles that run through Nassau County from roughly December through March.

The main requirement for sealing is that the surface needs to be completely dry and the temperature needs to stay above a certain threshold during application and curing. In Albertson, that generally means the window closes in late November, so fall scheduling has some urgency to it. If you missed the spring window and your pavers are going into another winter without a sealed surface, fall is the right time to act. Waiting until next spring means another full season of moisture penetrating exposed joints and each cycle compounds the damage that was already there.

The equipment difference is real, and it matters more than most people expect. Consumer pressure washers the kind you rent or buy at a hardware store run on cold water and limited pressure. They can move surface dirt around, but they can’t remove the organic growth that’s embedded in porous paver surfaces, and they can’t touch oil stains, deep mold, or the efflorescence that builds up on older concrete and brick pavers. They can also damage pavers if the pressure is too high or the nozzle angle is wrong, etching or streaking the surface in ways that are difficult to reverse.

Professional paver cleaning uses commercial-grade hot water systems. The heat is what actually kills moss, algae, and mildew at the root rather than just displacing it temporarily. It’s also what breaks down oil and grease that cold water can’t emulsify. Beyond the equipment, there’s the preparation and product knowledge knowing which cleaning agents work on which materials, how to treat efflorescence before it gets sealed in, and how to prep the surface so the sealer actually bonds and lasts. DIY sealing jobs that skip surface prep or use the wrong sealer chemistry are one of the most common reasons homeowners call us to fix work they did themselves.

Albertson is squarely within our Nassau County service area, and it’s a community we know well. North Hempstead’s mid-century housing stock, the tree-canopy conditions on the residential streets around Willis Avenue, and the freeze-thaw wear patterns that show up every spring on driveways and patios throughout Albertson these aren’t abstract conditions to us. We’ve worked on properties in Albertson and in the surrounding communities of Roslyn Heights, Williston Park, Herricks, and Searingtown, and the paver challenges in this part of Nassau County are consistent enough that we have a clear picture of what to expect before we arrive.

If you’re on a shaded street near the Clark Botanic Garden corridor or a residential block off I.U. Willets Road, the combination of mature trees and North Hempstead winters creates a specific pattern of organic growth and joint erosion that we address regularly. We’re fully licensed and insured, we explain the process before we start, and we work around your schedule which matters in a community where a lot of homeowners are commuting and don’t have weekdays free to manage a contractor. Reach out for an assessment and we’ll tell you exactly what your pavers need.
